What do you think about ongoing writer and actor protests?

I see even big Hollywood names are also joining. Instead of protesting only against studios, shouldn't they ask for less pay for the lead cast and more for all other support stuff?

Lead stars earn way more money. In most other fields salaries are more equalized.

It’s nice to see the actor’s union has joined in solidarity, especially after they made that comment about how they planned to starve out the writers until they were forced to come back. They’re asking for 1% of the profits of the shows that stream, these guys act like they’re asking for half. The more stuff like this happens, the more I’m willing to unironically say “let’s eat the rich.”

Aren't actors ae rich too? Instead of asking for a raise for non-actors, shouldn't they ask for less pay for them and more pay for others?
Producers make good money out of movies and most lead actors are also producers of their works.

A-list actors sure, but b-list, c-list, and d-list? Not so much. You’re thinking of people like Scarlett Johansen or Chris Hemsworth. You don’t think about the guys just playing the people in the background, which is who makes up a lot of the SAG union. Producers are the ones they’re all striking against

It's actually the producers who are raking in all the cash. You don't see how much a producer makes, but they are the ones doing the ripping off.
