If Someone is half Spanish half indigenous and not from Latin America, would they be half white/Caucasian or still Hispanic/Latino?

Spaniards are indeed White. Although they are darker compared to other Europeans, they're also about similar to Italians, Greeks, Portuguese or other Southern Europeans appearance wise and they're considered a white race so why such ethnicity called "Hispanic" exist and even confused with race? I'm so confused why being a Spanish decent has it's own unique ethnicity label. I don't think an Italian, German, British, French, Etc. has an equivalent of "Hispanic"

I myself is maybe a quarter or half Spanish. Am I a quarter white or a quarter Hispanic? Either way, it doesn't matter. I just find it thought provoking when I realized Spaniards just don't look that different compared to other Europeans.

I just want to make it clearer. I really do mean indigenous and not being specific about it outside of Latin America.

In the US, there’s only “non-white Hispanic or Latino”. It really doesn’t make sense when you consider this can be anyone from Spain or Brazil or Guatemala or anywhere.
I would just say you’re a quarter Spanish, except for the census (if that’s a thing in PNG) and other kinds of paperwork.
The label system for ethnicity really is ridiculous and I am not sure how helpful it even is except in very small minority groups, maybe.

As far as I'm concerned, he's a Filipino. 25% isn't much. And since they were colonized by Spain, I imagine most Filipinos have at least some Spanish blood

@KostasKouvalis Actually my mom would be half Spanish while my dad is 1/3 and that would make me more than a quarter but that's still besides the point. I'm referring to global.

So even if let's say Mexicans/Filipinos, would you consider them half white if they're actually half Spanish? Of not, I can ask the same thing for lets say a half Vietnamese and half French or half Indonesian and half Dutch.

I date a half-Mexican, half-Filipina girl. I didn't know what kind of Mexican she was, but as far as I was concerned, she was half Latina half Asian, so no, I didn't consider her half White

Spanish people are considered Caucasian. so if you are Spanish and the rest "white" you are as far we know 100% white/Caucasian. The color of the skin really doesn't change that. i guess we'd have to know what indigenous means because it means different things based on where you are from in terms of your ancestry (e. g. indigenous in America is different than Australia)

They'll still be Mestizo. Their birthplace or where they live doesn't matter. Those Filipinos like Quam Ping del Torro, that got banged by some Spaniards, are also called "Mestizos"

Also, "Indegenous" is a vague term. Indigenous to WHERE?
