Why does it feel like businesses are actively trying to destroy themselves?

Tons of stupid business decisions being made everywhere. A lot of the covid policies were horrible and have had long standing effects. Brands trying to market to other consumer bases actively giving theirs the middle finger… and I don't know about all the automakers going full electric. Idc what the government says, I don’t think anyone is ready for it, nor do most people want it. Prices are already sky high. How does anyone afford anything?

It just feels like everything is almost deliberately being burnt to the ground, at all of our expense. Incredibly demoralizing time to be living. But hey I guess if you make more than six figures, you have nothing to worry about. 🤷‍♂️

A good job doesn’t make you immune, I make 6 figures and still live with a roommate. But yeah, don’t know why but sure seems like the powers that be are hellbent on running society in to the ground

Dude, the Hollywood strikes? Movies and video games have been doing this forever and have become shells of their former selves and you assume I’m talking about Bud Light. Sure, that’s another one, they’re failing pretty hard too. Ooops.

Also I work in automotive and see it from the inside and it’s looking a little dodgy, and the market sentiment again, people and their thoughts of being forced into buying electric, nobody wants it, yet the initiative is full steam ahead. More job cuts are likely coming, job market is bleak, so I don't know where that tough guy persona’s coming from or what you’re talking about. You read the news and it’s all great, a “record year” but for the little guy, it’s not looking good.

The worlds on fire man. Turn off the TV and look around. Sure we all put on our best face in public and deal with it. But everything is wayyy up in price and not coming down. Our way of life is in total upheaval.
