Goes for the left as well, though there are far fewer of them in the media - but you never see anyone making bizarre far right claims in real life. I'm in middle-of-nowhere deep red Iowa, too, and no one here is saying the ridiculous things you hear from far right content creators. I suppose there is the occasional nut with a thousand Trump bumper stickers and confederate flags (in Iowa, of all places..). More to the point, if right wing people know these commentators and internet trolls are too far off the rails to repeat after in real life, why do they keep giving them the revenue of their eyeballs?
