I’ve said somewhere else on here, this is where the rubber meets the road. Trump now has his chance to prove —in a court of law, much more valid than the bogus Court of Public Opinion— to all of us that everything he’s been saying is true, that this is just Boogeyman Biden and the big scary Democrats railroading him, and debunk all the purported evidence. And as the defendant, it’s his advantage, since burden of proof is on the prosecution. Just go into court, and make them look like fools, right?

They say “if the facts aren’t on your side, argue the process”, though, and that’s seemed more like Trump’s approach. And that’s the thing about real court…. it’s about real facts, and that’s it.

I’m sure we’ll hear all kinds of “this is rigged!” claims, that’s their favorite play from the playbook. But it’s just got the boy-who-cried-wolf effect now, we hear it literally every time, it always seems to be bullshit, and at this point my ears are deaf to it. And most of all, these indictments are decided on by grand juries, randomly selected people who showed up for jury duty, same as anyone else. If we’re going to play the game of conspiracy theories where literally everything is rigged against Trump, why believe anything at all? Is the sky even blue, is grass even green?

Four different cases, four different jurisdictions…. at some point you have to question “is this guy just breaking the law a lot?” If you’re a working class or middle class person who buys into the populist rhetoric, it should offend and concern you that a wealthy elite like Trump isn’t already tried, found guilty, and jailed like literally any of us would be, in a fraction of the time. He tries to flip it and say “if they come after me, they’ll come after you”, but when was the last time you used campaign money to hush a pornstar you had an affair with? When was the last time you kept top secret government document in your home when it’s questionable at best that you should even have them? When did you rile up your hordes of supporters to March on the Capitol? When did you try to sway an election official to “find” the exact number of votes you needed to win? I don’t understand what he’s doing that any of his supporters relate to as a threat to be persecuted.

Maybe this case will hit different since others are co-defendants for the same crimes, but I’m not holding my breath. Seems like if you have an obsessive adoration of Trump, whatever lame excuse he throws out will make all the sense in the world to you🤦‍♂️

This isn’t a Congressional impeachment, these are big league federal court cases, and one RICO case at the state level, with prison time on the table for all. This is more than “you don’t get to be President anymore.”

He could beat some of the charges…but there are a whole lot of fucking charges over the four cases. Juries are for sure an X factor though, because it only takes one rogue juror to get a should-be-guilty defendant off the hook. He’s innocent until proven otherwise, and we all need to wait for the trials to get the full scope of the facts. My fear is that, even in the face of irrefutable damning evidence, the most die hard Trump fanatics will just continue tell the rest of us still living in reality to not believe our lying eyes.

1. It’s very possible that Trump could be found guilty with some of these indictments.

2. Even though Trump might be guilty how f*cking convenient that 4 indictments come in 5 months right before the election cycle. If that isn’t election interference then I don’t know what is. DOJ, FBI, etc.) then how convenient republicans reactively disbelieve there motives and protect Trump thinking that he is being unfairly targeted. This can be very well be true in some cases. But most republicans now believe “all” cases. Democratic elitists cleverly planned this reaction to happen.

5. How convenient that the liberal mass media now has an excuse to fixate on Trump and get the negative attention of the sitting president of the United States whose gross incompetence has completely f*cked up our economy, inflation, foreign policy and border security. He has zero charisma either and let’s not forget the biggest skeleton in his closet: Hunter Biden and the accusation of corrupt business dealings.

6. How convenient that Trump is much less palatable to independents and swing voters than other republican candidates. How convenient he’s surging in the primaries because democrats actually want him to nominated because he’s the only candidate that walking corpse pathetic senile excuse for a president Biden might beat.

7. How terrifying that democrats will now stop at absolutely nothing to take out republican candidates they don’t like (especially Trump). Trump could have stuck his DOJ on Hilary Clinton during his term (as he mocked he would during the 2016 presidential debates). But he didn’t and it’s actually good he didn’t. When you start using institutions of power to take out your political rivals then this is horrifying banana republic stuff. Do you think it will just end with Trump? Every Republican DA is going to go after Biden with a vengeance once they get a chance. But this is bad for America. Very bad. All the way around. Using legal institutions to take out political opponents is horrifying.

However our government is absolutely corrupt to its core and their focus on destroying Trump is about sending a message to anyone who would stand up to their absolute power. This indictment includes Trumps lawyers, sending a message to any lawyer that simply representing someone who opposes them is a imprisonable offense.
