This reporter, Olivia, Created a male dating profile on Hinge and Tinder. She went there with the assumption that it would be easy as a male to get women. She finds the opposite is absolutely true. She found that most women say things on their profiles like “Don’t superlike me if ur ugly I already have a lot going on.” or “If you [are] one of those ‘split the check’ or not wealthy. . . NEXT.”. This was not the minority of profiles either. This was the VAST MAJORITY of female profiles.
She went on to interview a number of men, one was a security guard, making 55k annually, owned his own home, his own car, had to swipe right 35k times to get 200 matches, only go on 3 dates... None of which ended in anything other than "Lets just be friends".
She finds the average male aged between 17 and 35 makes about 50k a year statistically 6 in 10 (60%) are single and can't get dates.
Is it any wonder that men are dropping out of the dating market? the online dating market coupled with #metoo, and the fact that the average date in 2023 costs 159 dollars plus, make dating from a cost benefit standpoint a losing proposition.
Additionally you have women out there who get so much attention on social media that they falsely believe they are 8's - 10's when in reality they are 2's - 5's, and believe that they deserve men who make 6 figures or more, Which simply is not going to happen, and if it does, a man who is in the top 5% of men has options, and is pretty much guaranteed to pump and dump her.
Whats worse, a woman makes an article like the one i mentioned and she's called anywhere from a a pick me, to death threats from women. its as if these people are not capable of handling the the truth.
