To say “let’s get rid of guns” is like saying “let’s get drugs off the streets” people will find a way to get ahold of them illegally ESPECIALLY in the US. And since banning drugs DID WONDERS. Guns don’t kill, people do. We don’t have a gun problem, we have a people problem. It’s like saying forks makes people fat.

Yes it is the same thing and you might not think so because of how you phrased your reply but think about it. If you restrict certain firearms then it would become a slippery slope of “we got rid of this, but this gun is similar to this one for abc, so we also banned this one, and then they ban all weapons. But you are ignoring the statement I made that we have a PEOPLE PROBLEM. Most gun owners don’t act like that. By your logic we must ban cars because drunk drivers cause accidents which kills people. We are in a stage where there are a lot of families that don’t have a father figure. This is probably why we are going through a people crisis because we live in a society where it’s good to hookup without any commitment to the other person.

We need more safety for people who own guns and for people who are normal day citizens for their safety.
