Please understand I am not here to put down women, men have a lot of faults too, but I am wondering if you have ever encountered a sterotypical Church woman. She is middle aged and a prominent member probably of some independent evangelical sect for whom mainstream churches are too liberal. She loves to gossip about people especially "immoral women" meaning any woman who is unmarried, childless, has a job, or is just young. If she is wealthy she spends all her time organizing "church picnics and events" and gossiping while her husband makes all the money and her immigrant maid does all the housework and childcare.

I have in-laws that fit that description. Early 60s, grew up as a pampered good girl in the Bible Belt, teacher, thick southern accent, very Christian, Trump loving, wine grandma, nice to your face but loves to gossip, has cheated on her husband but he took her back.
Oh and she’s VERY attention seeking. Loves to talk loud like she’s talking to an audience.
I’ve met many, MANY of these women. Except for the maid part though. Having maids isn’t really a thing in my country, even for the very wealthy.
They aren't as prominent in the US as they used to be but a few still have them. What country are you from?
There are very few of those here in Seattle. I don't know anyone who attends services. As far as I know all my friends are non-believers.
