Prostitution is the world's oldest profession. It's existed as long as man has existed. Why would we try to stop it now? It's not socially acceptable nor should it be. But let's be real it's never going to go away. So, no to try to legislate morality is folly. Don't believe me? Ask prohibition, ask the Safe port act in 2006 (it outlawed online poker). Neither stopped people from drinking or gambling. It just made it more difficult for people to do. Those people that seek to buy or sell sex acts still will do so.
