Hmm, that's an interesting theory to take! When you put it like that, I can totally see the connection between Miss Piggy and modern day Karens. She was always super bossy and demanding with that squealing voice. If little kids watched her act like that back in the day and thought it was cool or Normal, I could see them growing up to be Karens now for sure.
Plus with the hair and clothes like you said, it's kinda like Karens today are still trying to look like Miss Piggy in a way. Never thought about it before but you might be onto something. Miss Piggy could for real be patient zero for creating all the future Karens out there! Those poor kids didn't know what they were in for by looking up to her. Now we're all suffering the consequences haha. Nice theory bro, you may have just solved the Karen mystery!
She was based on Peggy Lee who sings
"Fever" in the beginning but they did not want to offend the Grammy winner by appearing to compare her to a pig. They Dropped Lee from her name. Miss Piggy continued to sing but ended up being the one offended by the name change to Miss Piggy while the Human she was based on got all the star treatment. The origin story of all the Karens that are out there now. They just never achieved the position in life they desire so now are hell-bent on pulling anyone near them down because it's just not fair other people are happier than they are. You nailed it is probably more probable than people will admit.
I didn't watch much of this show because it doesn't appear in TV anymore regularly. However I find Piggy is more the spoiled diva type than Karen.
The term “Karen” has to be the lamest term ever invented. I cringe every time I hear it.

How dare you Poppy! Miss Piggy was a true lady who knew how she wanted to be treated by everyone, especially Kermit.
It wasn't her fault nobody knew how to do anything as well as she did. How could Fozzy Bear learn if she didn't educate him? Gonzo wouldn't be the Great Gonzo without her gentle encouragement.

Miss Piggy is one of my fantasies. I've spent many nights, alone, thinking about Miss Piggy. Is she a Karen? No. The original Karen? Far from it. She is my hero, and I would fight Kermit over her.

Miss Piggy was modeled after Loretta Swit who played Maj. Houlihan on the TV show MASH. I do not think she was a Karen.
Karen's were around a lot longer than Miss Piggy they were there in the 50s and 60s also. Miss Piggy was making fun of those type of people. We also called them primadonna's.
