Of course the differences in opportunities in developed countries vs developing countries will make a difference in how educated a person is and how successful they will be. But then we’re talking about how educated somebody is, not how intelligent they are.

Intelligence is the ability to understand and solve problems, this is the part which is genetic. We’re born with certain mental capabilities just like we’re born with certain physical capabilities.

An intelligent person in a developing country who knows less than they would in a developed country because of lack of access to education isn’t unintelligent, they just don’t have access to information.

An unintelligent person can be given the best education, but it’s going to take them a lot longer to understand and to learn things which are too hard for them. They just don’t have the mental capabilities required to understand it. That’s why you can have 30 kids in a class, the intelligent nerds will understand straight away, the dumb ones either aren’t interested in learning so they fuck around, or they just don’t get it.
