Would my misdemeanor from the us affect me getting my mexican citizenship?

i have a misdemeanor in fl for simple assault on my ex boyfriend ex girlfriend that was a roommate i did all that i had to do that the judge requested 10 months ago

my family is planning to move to mexico and i been looking online if my misdemeanor will affect me getting a mexican citizenship both my parents are from mexico

I don't know better... I don't think so, and I know that the Mexican government will care more for you two have NO criminal record in Mexico for the two to five years that it would take you gain the Mexican citizenship

so I think that a misdemeanor won't have a negative impact as long as you're stating and accepting that crime, it should be alright
