There is a hotel 3 miles from my house. They have been entirely leased by the state for illegal aliens. The governor had to ask the legislature for 250 million dollars to pay for this insanity. This is just the down payment. She will get another 250 Million next month. Meanwhile the local school system is forced to take in almost 300 of them. None can speak a word of English so the school district has to hire ESL teachers which are very expensive. I had to go to the emergency room but decided to just wait until the next day until my doctor had office hours. It was very uncomfortable but the thought of spending 8 or 9 hours waiting was just too much. The governor just raised taxes on restaurants and hotels to pay for this. There will be more taxes to follow,
I lock my doors at night and I now own firearms.
They don't
They stare like I came from another planet. Most of them aren't even immigrants but foreign workers, they behave that way too. Of course in private clinics like in one where i work, no one will give a treatment to foreigners who aren't registered in national health insurance data base.
Fortunately we are just transit country for their 'promised lands' like Germany, UK or Sweden. Welfare here is limited to shelter and food, but immigrants want money.
Directly they don't however ever since my country decided to have an open door policy, rents have gone up because some people are ok with living with 6 flatmates in a 2 bedroom. If you call customer support you get someone who speaks terrible English, let alone the local language.

The main effect migrants have on my life is how often i have to refrain from punching stupid people in the face when they claim every single problem is caused by migrants.
Other than that no effect at all.
For many reasons, nothing affects me personally
Higher renting prices because many buildings are rented by the government for immigrants...
Longer waiting time (a few months) if you need to visit any public office.
All social help is overcrowded and if you really need something right now you have to wait anyway...
Less trust in many places
Who said they commit less crime? In shoplifting, they're right after teenagers... they often take part of street fights and vandalism...
Well cited moron. en.wikipedia.org/.../Immigration_and_crime
I don't live in the US, moron.
Those are official statistics shared by the police.
The latest German Police Crime statistics (PKS), relating to 2022 show that the overall number of crime suspects rose by 10.7% compared to 2021. Out of the 2,093 782 crime suspects, over a million (1,309 906) had German citizenship and almost 800,000 (783 876) were suspects without German citizenship.
Sorry they don't much how you imagined it works in other parts of the world. There is a reason why governments who invited immigrants to Europe no more have people voting for them.
Don't be stupid. "crime is absolutely an American thing". and it's only less than 10% because they are considered biden citizens now
@Sevenpointfive what are you saying? Dems are somehow controlling criminals?
no. they are controlling the media that crime is reported on
@Sevenpointfive *looking up biggest news agenceis* Fox News and Newsmax. Uhhh. What?
if you haven't noticed fox news isn't conservative anymore. it's one of the reasons tucker left
The ones that got here from some part of an oppressed community find their oppressors hiding amongst them with a frequency you would not imagine. Then I tend to be affected by them greatly, because it's my job to deal with the people that butchered their neighbors in their home country then came here to hide.
Well the juntas are technically who rules AFTER taking a country by force. Usually for me it's the ones deposed I'm looking for, because they'll come flee here and blend in... Hutu with Hutu, Tutsi with Tutsi... etc etc. Sometimes though it'll be a desirable area and a Hutu will move into a mixed Tutsi "camp"... for lack of a better word... then somebody is like "hey that's the guy that made me rape my family and cut off my arm with a machete!"... so.. you know... not really the huddled masses we wanna be attracting, so they gotta go.
My personally it has not. But I do know a few East Africans that have take that route before. They don’t usually have happy endings.
But listening and watching their stories is absolutely heart wrenching.
Well, one stole my ssn once and I got a nasty notice from the IRS. Fortunately, it was a man and he used his own name (at least I assume it was his name).
I don't know how he got it. I just know I got pap letter from the IRS stating that I owed a bunch of taxes for a bunch of unreported income. I contacted them and was at first told I had to contact the employer listed, which was in another state and no longer in business. I ended talking to someone else at the IRS who did a little research land found the name discrepancy. She said that based on that she could delete it, but if they had used my name, it would have been a different story. So, yeah, that person helped me, but it wasn't immediate, it was scary, and I shouldn't have had to deal with it. According to that lady, it happens all the time, and we're just not aware of it because they normally catch the name before sending a letter.
This may sound like nothing to you, but it sucked.
Actually it's been on my reading list for like a decade, never quite got around to it though.
Funny, that just makes me read it even more. by the way, Kampf and Diaries are also on my reading list.
Ah yes, I want to read a book therefore I must support it. I also read and really enjoyed some Thomas Harris works, I must be a raging cannibal necrophiliac.
It’s a fucking pain in the ass trying to get something done when I’m dealing with someone who doesn’t speak a lick of English.
I don’t think very many of them are coming here due to lack of food. South America is a major producer of food.
Maybe not. But they’re definitely not starving.
Not sure if it has any effect but my taxes keep going up.
A tax dollar that supports an illegal doesn’t support an American.
Unless they’re brown americans then they can get fucked. Dope.
Yeah, too bad you're a puss and can't do anything to anyone.
I live in Europe. Crime has gone through the roof.
Just ask Eric Adams.
Almost as if leftists want immigrants to be something they can use to complain about the Right wing.
Odd here don’t care about mayor Adams limiting their ability to legaly move to NYC, he told me so here: Who would you rather have immigrate to your country? ↗
