Are people who believe in ancient civilizations crackpots?

I'm often rolling my eyes when I hear things like, "There's no way ancient humans could have built this structure." "There's no possibility that this rock formation was naturally formed [discover later after researching for it myself that every respectable expert agrees that it was naturally formed despite its unusual shape]".

I really don't like how the History Channel props up these types who let their vested interests cloud their skepticism.

That's a shame. It does seem to be popular with some people but I always found it very uninteresting even from a "What if?" type of scenario.

I mean, we haven't evolved much since "ancient" times and our current technology is ultimately just made up of the same stuff that has been on this planet for billions of years. It's not outside the realm of possibility but it is true that it's unlikely. However, it is likely that some tribes that were "ahead of their time" popped up and then died off.

Yup I agree with what you said. Like, ancient times had their own versions of Albert Einstein, the technology we have now is just from the collective human history. What I'm talking about specifically, are theories involving Atlantis. I can't really give any examples because I find it hard to watch any documentaries passing themselves as being serious about it. I just can't stomach that level of stupidity.

I've been in Serapeum in Egypt and have seen those perfectly made sarcophagi which we couldn't even make with our current technology. Even with modern CNC tools we can't cut a prefect 90 degree inner corner in all three axes in a stone that isn't much softer than diamond.
Civilization with bronze tools didn't make those sarkophagi, no way.

People still build straw and mud huts all around the world to this day (I believe your abuelita still lives in one)...

... and people still build log cabins

they still build brick houses...

... they still build homes from river rock, stones, hell, you can even build a home out of rammed earth and mud bricks like the ancient Sumerians did—in fact people still do.

But oddly, strangely enough, no one has ever built another pyramid.

Hell you could build a CASTLE today. I mean not YOU, obviously, but people do it. It has been done. Hell, you can even see it being done on YouTube.

But not the pyramids... 🤷‍♂️

Frankly I’m not that interested in Egypt, the pyramids, or Egyptology. Some people think it was aliens or some stupid sky beings or something. To be honest I really don’t give a damn.

I don't know what "ancient civilizations" means. There were people on Earth before us.
