Yes. Historically Islam sought to conquer Europe from 700 in the West but was more successful in the East and it was only in the early 1900's they were pushed out.

There is a lot of hypocrisy on the Islam side. It was fine for Islam to invade and conquer the Levant but not for Crusaders to do the same to restore a Christian, western culture.

Until recent times it was completely reasonable for a stronger power to take land (and hopefully people because it implies massacres otherwise) from a weaker power. Might = Right till post WWII when Rules Based Order was instituted.

Russia and China are clearly challenging the rules based order. In a vaguer, less centralized manner,

I see Islam as doing the same but mainly in a cultural manner. Recently I saw a video of a work man trying to eat his lunch. But it was Ramadan. His predominantly Muslim work colleagues were offended by him breaking Ramadan so they stopped him eating his lunch.

I think that is the problem with Islam in a microcosm. They want to impose their culture on the West. At the moment it is with the sticks we have given them. But it is almost certainly will get to internal terrorism in due course.

@Jessica405 Thank you for the compliment. Broadly I don't think the West can absorb Islam culture and shouldn't try to with multiculturalism.

In UK, we now have a crisis with immigration. We haven't enough housing to cater for our own people, let alone immigrants. Much of Europe is moving to the right politically. UK must do the same. We have to return some of these immigrants to theiir countrieps of origin.

No, multiculturalism does not work. Especially when one culture cannot tolerate criticism from another

@Jessica405 The Australian gov't has created a housing crises by allowing too many immigrants as well.

The methods Australian conservative gov't's have used have worked well. Basically you put illegals into detention centres. It is that simple. Progressive Labor governments ditch those measure then the cycle starts over. Voters than get upset and kick Labor out. There has been more than one cycle of this.

@Jessica405 Think it already is. Saw some stuff on UK having adopted the "Australian solution". Most recently Denmark was talking about it. Iceland is pissed as well.

It is not ideal and progressives are going to bitch and moan. Falklands would be good for the UK.

@Jessica405 The crisis you speak about started with John Major, then Tony Blair. Even though they were in opposite parties, they both believed Multiculturalism works, hence why they opened the borders.

@TommyMountainFigure The crisis is even older than that. I refer to Enoch Powell speech way back in the late 1960's.

Not Islam as a religion, but many practioners of Islam, yes. For example, there were a lot of Muslims on this site and on social media, whom I thought were moderates and good people, many of them even wore revealing clothing, but they were basically supporting the murder of Samuel Paty and the atrocities of Hamas as well as other attacks against Christians and Westerners, so they showed their true colors. The truth is, that while the majority of Muslims will never commit a terror attack, the majority of them hold at least SOME radical views, and the majority of them seem to think violence is justified to defend their honor. The whole putting God above family and all else, is insane to me. I recently watched a Dagestani kick boxer flip out because a reporter said, "Asalam Alaykum" to him and congratulated another boxer on his Whiskey brand. The majority of Muslims are decent people, until you criticize Islam or tell them you support Israel, then their true colors show.

Someone else mentioned for every Osama there are a thousand Abdul Mohammed’s trying to live their life.

Islam shouldn’t be a religion to fear as with any. It’s the folks themselves that misinterpret their teachings and completely go against their teaching. Most of the time, it’s not even the religion but the culture of people. Even myself, I’m scared of extremism but not from Islam alone. All religions have bad apples that bleed and taint the rest of the crops.

Not at all. I think most religions teach good morals and ethics to people. Whether they’re in reality a form of social control or the words of a beloved prophet and God, I think religion, if not abused by extremists (in all faiths, these exist, not just Islam); is good and encourages people to show the best of themselves. Both to themselves and to others. Islam is a peaceful religion. I am a Christian, however I respect Islam.

Not frightens. Just confuses. I have these questions. If Islam is the religion of Peace and Love...
*Why are many of them head-choppers, mutilators, mass murderers and skyjackers?
*Why do the men have a particular appetite for raping and satanic torture of women?
Why do they advocate glorify self- sacrifice in the form of suicide bombing?
*Why do they license themselves to murder anyone who ridicules their idea of a prophet?
*Why do they consider themselves an Abrahamic Religion when Abraham was said to be the kindest man in the world; probably why God chose him and he's alleged to be
the ancestor of Muslims that commit the atrocities above?

Yes, the religion of Islam is a religion that scares me a lot , people who believe in this religion have low faces and live moody lives , I have read a lot of books about this religion, and a lot of people bend and bend this religion, they don't live this religion fully and clearly, the religion of terror this religion is a person who believes in this religion, a person without feelings, who has no heart, is very angry and holds a grudge against everyone, I've seen a lot of people, I've witnessed, they're all crooks

Nope. I've had very positive experiences with most of the Muslims I've known. That said, Muslims in America are a totally different deal from Muslims in other parts of the world.

There's a reason Muslim-dominated places tend not to be parts of the world that people flock to. Heck, even the majority Muslim places in America tend not to be the particularly desirable places to live.

As to why that reason is... I'd rather not speculate,

It would seem to me, in my experience at least, that their religion comes before the humanity and empathy towards those around them.

Religion unfortunately doesn't have a good rep in general. Unless you're into murder and bloodshed.

No, rather my friend is a Muslim, they take care of us very well, dear, in every respect. They are very good and have kind hearts. People have defamed them, but in reality, it's not like that. Basically, the media has brainwashed people to see Muslims as terrorists, but there's nothing like that.

No more or less than Christianity, Buddhism, Sikhism, Judaism, Hinduism or any other faith. They can as easily be misapplied for evil as they can (and should) be a beacon of good.

@handsomelad70 The Quran says that the Torah and Gospels (New Testament) are the "book of truth" and Mohammed basically said that people should be following it. It is one of his many contradictions, but imams don't teach it (for a reason of course) and I imagine many muslims don't know it because they aren't reading their Quran any more than many Christians who aren't reading the Bible.

This is a good point. Honestly, I DO find the religion a bit dubious, in terms of it's worldviews, dogmas, and treatment of women.

But the guy who moved here so he could own and run his own franchise business? You don't get more American Dreamy than that. (Kudos to your term Abdul McMohammed by the way for describing such people succinctly).
