They lived in a completely different era where it was ok to beat your wife, send 5-year-olds up chimneys, buy and sell slaves, and chuck witches on bonfires. Americans should be asking what people want and need today and not appeasing long dead rich people.
no, the main reasons women were not given the right to vote were:
1) Men considered politics too dirty and unseemly for women
and 2) men did not think women had the smarts and knowledge to take part in politics
It was not just the US. New Zealand was the first country to give women the right to vote, and that was 100 years after the US Constitution was ratified
Well back then they didn’t have issues with family like we do today. So maybe they had the right idea.

I think the Founding Fathers are too often seen as pseudo religious figures when in reality they were just a grouo of lads who went and killed all the natives and created a country on their land.
Women have been denied the right to vote in almost every culture on Earth at some point. Makes you wonder if they were on to something.
Partly. I think they being the anchor of the home and children, without news outlets, were limited in what and who was about.
