I was born in 1994. While I am by definition a Millennial, I better identify with GenZ, because I am at the tail end of the Millennial generation and a lot of my peers are GenZ.
I started kindergarten in year 2000. All my elementary and middle school years were in the 2000s (2000-2009). I started high school in 2009 and graduated in 2013.
I sure do miss the 2000s. Everything seems so dystopian and weird now. So much social engineering, political division, and cultural shifts now compared to back then. Although, I was just a kid back then too and didn't have a clue about politics.
Technology was evolving and big during my childhood, but it also didn't consume every aspect of our lives. We still went to the mall, we still went trick-or-treating during Halloween, and we still played outside for the most part.

I do miss the 2000s even the 2010s were pretty great. I felt there was a balance between technology and living in the moment back then. Social media was present but it was much more chill and casual…
Eh, I thought the 2010s were when everything started going to shit. I think it started around the Obama era and progressively got worse from there. More civil unrest, more left-wing propaganda, the whole "PC Police" movement. Even South Park was poking fun of the PC/Social Justice Warrior movement in the mid 2010s.
Yep it definitely went down hill from then on but it’s still better than the 2020s lol I’d say 2015 was the peak for me
I don't know if I "peaked" anywhere in my youth. It was full of its unique hardships. Maybe the better part of my childhood was 2004 when I was 10. But once adolescence hit, it was a downwards spiral from there. Frequent hospitalizations. Tons of mental health issues even well into my 20s. It didn't start getting better for me until somewhere around 2023. But the world has definitely gone to shit tho.
Oh damn sounds like you had it pretty rough… I agree the world is just a mess now, it’s always been messy but this is next level messy. I don’t think we’ll ever get back what we had in the good old days. Not sure if this is just the nostalgia talking tho
