That's why instead of voting for president this year I'm voting to leave the union just like Britain votes to leave the EU.

hey, honestly American political system and laws state county federal etc this is the first I've heard of option 3? is this a growing movement? i see a lot of home steaders? opt out people farms just getting the fuck of dodge... post brexit now I've lost my right to freedom within Europe i need to move there more than ever, it is an absolute shambles... the level of poverty and you can't trust anyone of them in politics.. because no matter who you vote for, above them are numerous more puppet masters, mostly pharma, construction, finance and the layers above them too... my option 3 is withdraw peacefully like so many others and you know what, the more that do, that leave, the more it gives the truth we do not have to participate... opt out...
Texas can't even figure out it's energy build and loses power in winter. So, as a former Texan, see ya. You'll be back in no time.
I didn't lose it either and I lived in a liberal city but lots across Texas did lose their power and it was all thanks to the power grid.
Fun fact on that it was caused by the EPA not allowing our coal power plants to operate beyond 30% capacity. But CNN forgot to mention that. Guesse what no USA means no EPA means we can produce far more power.
Try again:
Data showed that failure to winterize power sources, principally natural gas infrastructure but also to a lesser extent wind turbines, had caused the grid failure, with a drop in power production from natural gas more than five times greater than that from wind turbines.
it's so expensive to have a military and government now... run your own currency... passports, global trade, natural disasters... there's a lot the feds soak up for you. of course, they don't do as well...
but you've got oil, Musk (not the oil... the guy)... you could manufacture and fund for a while.
I don't think you'd survive globally.. but give it a try why don't ya?
So we'd devolve become the Union of United States Capitalistic Republics... UUSCR?
ps... I'm east coast, we'd starve or turn to cannibalism. I'd like to know who (m) is providing all the food that goes into these big cities. It sure ain't us...
Hahaha! Well god damn! Civil war round 2 lets goooo!
But seriously, its dead in the water. To put it simply, it will never happen even if you people want to secede from the union. This is especially true because you do not have any actual leadership for the movement. And why would you? People with the competence and resources to accomplish something like this are also the ones with the most to lose and as such its a movement without a head that is just going to stumble around aimlessly for the amusement of the rest of us.

If you try to take Texas out of the Union you will have a problem with all the recent incomers from California who live in the Metropolitan Areas, unless you can some how make the vote like Brexit a simple Yes/No vote taking out the bias of the Metropolitan Areas that as we have seen in recent elections can skew the results of a State, where the results in the Metropolitan Areas can override the results in the Rural Areas, because you’ll have a hell of a job changing the mind set of the incomers from California.
Well, considering how well it went the LAST time you tried that, I'd reconsider. Actually, considering how well it went when all you separated was your power grid, you're going to have a hell of a time convincing your own citizens that it's a good idea.
Distaste for Biden dries up pretty quickly when you're risking frostbite.
California brings in more cash than any other state, which is pretty much the entire west coast you're whining about.
But don't let the door hit you, in any case.
Bringing in lots of money, but spending MORE than CA brings in doesn't help.
Consider in state revenue vs spending.

Actually CA is one of the worst with over $150 billion added to debt each year. Many states perform better. Just put in each state name and national debt tracker to check each state.
Good job. Only believe lies, and ignore actual statistics. That is how Democrats function. Only trust lies and speak out against any truths.
Do you like how CA now has premium gas for $7.40 per gallon? I am sure that is much less and more affordable than the $3.80 per gallon in conservative states huh?
No answer for the gas price differences? Hmm.
Texas power grid already "left" the rest of the USA
yeah... that really didn't go so well, lmfao
Would it really upset the other states if we returned to a sovereign nation. We would control our borders, all of them. All the leftists would either leave or we'd make laws that make them illegal. It would be damn fine. Shut off all access from the MSM so no racial strife, although most all around here, are not libbys.
@Dongie here's a truth... Texas, as s state... is VERY lazy and laid back at the border, they pretty much leave it all to the Feds, so Texas does not have to really be concerned about it
so... if Texas has to take control over "four borders now" it is going to be a massive headache, and Texas government will not follow what people want... not really
if you do not like the border situation is not because of the Feds exactly, but... because Texan governments have always looked the other way, because it is convenient
and then you have taxes... if you become your own State, then you have to come up with a whole lot more taxes, yes or yes...
people are not going to like that either
happened with Brexit... it will happen with Texas too
Where have you been Nathan. Biden threatened our national guard with the U. S. army for putting barriers at the border. Our governor was back and forth with that idiot. If left alone there wouldn't be, I've read, 29,000 Chinese and who knows how many Middle Eastern terrorists are here. I watched a short on utube a few weeks ago with this Iranian saying he has a big surprise for America and "I'm already here".
@Dongie I am right at the Texas border, and I see it every single day...
not authority ever from Texas state has ever checked me coming in and out, none...
and I know this because I work business at the border... Texas as state only cares about one thing... give me the cut, and we're fine, the rest... they don't care, it is all business
just today, I crossed the border twice... nobody checked my documentation, nobody checked my cargo
it is free pass pretty much... just because is not just me, but other thousands of vehicles going through at the same time
@Dongie I've jet ski... before
@Dongie the river might be a border... but you can still have fun there, so you can jet ski, water ski and stuff like that, lol
and yes, I'm dual national
@Dongie not sure which is your state
@Dongie I'm Texan myself... so I also know what's what, lol
@Dongie I don't have to like absolutely everything about Texas, and the power grid did fail and badly
I don't dislike people based on where they were born or nationality, most of the people I do not like are Texas, yes...
but also, a lot of the people I love are from Texas
but, Texas are what I know... so far, I have not lived at another American state
Well shit, no state is void of assholes. I've been to NewYork, the city is full of them. About 150 miles west near Binghampton is a little hamlet called Windsor. Most everyone I met was friendly and was happy to see us pipeliners. Brought a lot of money. But you still had gougers. Renting motel rooms for $650 a week. Stuff like that. I lived in Nevada the same thing. I think it's pretty much the same almost everywhere.
Get your high horse
The five states that received the most federal aid were:
California ($162.9 billion)
New York ($110.2 billion)
Texas ($105.8 billion)
Florida ($58.8 billion)
Pennsylvania ($57.1 billion)
despite frustration you committed to join
can't leave
Please leave. We’re embarrassed to have you people part of our country
You got it wrong. 300 blue counties produce 70% of GDP and red states get more from Washington than they put in. Good luck without the coasts!
Heck yeah. Or, yee-haw.
That's a good plan.
Bye.
