I lived in one. So my parents got this house for a bargain, it was in an affluent neighborhood but it was on sale for way under the market value. Was told that it was just an old house, basically a fixer upper project but my parents took it. We moved in not long after and I gotta tell you, as soon as you walk in the air felt heavy and unwelcoming. I thought it was just bcs it was an old house.
My room was upstairs, it was huge, basically a loft (two levels), with a high ceiling, and my own bathroom. My dog would wake up every night and stare at the same exact spot on the second level of the room. Doors open and close on their own, which we brushed off. I hear noises all the time, which I brushed off as it just being “old house noises”. I never felt comfortable in my room and my mom didn’t allow me to sleep alone, she would sleep in the guest room next to my room (with a connecting door).
A bunch of weird things happened, we always felt drained and tired and never felt at home. Eventually, my parents had enough and decided to sell the house. When we were moving out one of the neighbors came over and told us that apparently the previous owner hung herself in her room (my bedroom), exactly right where my dog would stare at every night… explains a lot of the weird shit that was happening tbh
i loved the part about the dog staring! some of that was also in a simpson episode. sweet!
@strateguy632 that’s actually the creepiest part for me lol to wake up every single night and find your dog staring at the same exact spot is just not a vibe
@Iron_Man it’s 100% true, happened back in 2014. I was away for college back then and when I went back home for the summer my parents surprised me with the new house so I didn’t even know about it lol my parents decided to sell the house when we moved out, it’s still empty to this day apparently. I now live about 10 minutes away from that house, I drove past it from time to time to check it out and it looks abandoned… can’t imagine how bad the vibe is like now
@Iron_Man not really tbh, I didn’t really believe in those things so my family and I just brushed it off but we never felt at home or comfortable in the house. Every time we had guests over they would also complain about the “negative energy” of the house… We lived there for 2 years I think? I was only staying there during summer and winter breaks tho so it wasn’t too bad for me. My little brother on the other hand, had to sleep in my parent’s room because he was too scared to sleep in his own room even though he was already 12 lol
@Iron_Man my parents managed to sell it for under a million after they renovated it and all (they bought it for way less than that though) so it was a great investment. Like I said it was in an affluent neighborhood and it was a pretty big house, it just happens to come with a free ghost/spirit lol
They probably do exist, but don’t look like the photo!
I know about some odd things that went on in my granddads house when my mother was a child/teen.
I’ve visited plenty of times growing up, and it hadn’t always been a nice experience.
Not really... but I do love the stories and the history; like the idea that a certain type of blue would deter witches... or building halls that went no where, and fake doors and windows that would confuse the spirits, either making them less interested in haunting people, or trapping them in some way... I love the idea of stuff like that. I tell ghost stories, and read about them; but just do it for enjoyment.
I try not to be rude when someone has a story... I try to stay open minded about details... I just think it could be any one of fifty different things going on before I would assume , yes, you're right, it was DEFINITELY ghosts.
I believe our individual humanity can connect to objects and places where other people in the past have expressed their own humanity over time. Where the air itself is heavy with the weight of history within.

As for me I believe in a lot of things & haunted houses are one of them. I believe in the strange & unusual as well as paranormal & extraterrestrial. Back in the day I had a little paranormal group & every weekend I went on journeys into the unknown.
I used to along with many things like aliens amongst us, now I’ve grown out of it for a more logical / mature approach. Now would I love aliens amongst us, yeah that would be cool and would I love real ghosts around yeah… Though I’m compelled its not real.
I believe that there are houses and places that are bloody weird and have a strange atmosphere. I do not know if this is down to what we would call ghosts or something else. I do know that I have experienced things that are hard to explain and also at times I’ve been with friends and something happened.
Yea I don't believe in lost souls tho cause I believe all souls have a destination but I do believe ghosts exist but they aren't people, just spiritual entities trying to fool people to believe they are lost souls so they don't believe in a god or spend their time confused about god.
Yes, I believe it, they are very rare phenomena though
houses are usually haunted by demons, the souls of dead people are assigned to their destination and have no possibility of action with the living, unless God himself allows it.
It is not uncommon that in a house where suicides have occurred, the souls of those who have killed themselves haunt the place tormented and commanded by demons;
I laugh at shows that 'investigate' them, but there is more on heaven and earth than what our senses can detect; or the knowledge of today isn't the unbelievable sci-fi of yesterday.
no haunted house has ever lied to me, so...
I don't see a reason to not believe them
I find them fascinating and scary at the same time. I have heard some scary stories about haunted houses and guess what i have lived in one and been haunted.
Nope. Not superstitious at all. I would happily go in one if it can prove me wrong
No absolutely not... It's all a load of old baloney, nonsense, and complete and utter Bollox.
There are some things that cannot be explained... so, I keep an open mind
Yes. There are well documented and famously haunted structures throughout the World.
But a lot of what you see on YouTube is fake... just to get those likes, views and subscriptions.
Yea and it'd be so cold and bad electrical wiring flicker flicker lol sigh 😔😭 😱🫣
I believe my ex-sister lives in one but, I haven't seen any of her ghosts.
Where can you find a haunted house anymore? Everything is bland Walmart architecture now, everywhere you go.
No but is there such a thing as a haunted toilet?
Yes there's so much evidence people are so stupid these days and don't believe
No I believe in lonely, delusional people making up stories though.
I don't, but I still see them every October.
They’re real, and not just houses can be haunted.
Yeah, I used to live in one.
I lived in one for a while
My grandparents died in it, but they never did leave it. If you catch my drift
A little bit
Yep.
