People think the previous generation had better morals but I would say morals did not change, they were just more terrified of divorce than they are now. In most long term marriages, I would say over 40-60% have domestic abuse and are worse than being single unless you are dying and need a caregiver. Less than 1% of the people I know divorce to upgrade their sex life. Most divorce due to abuse or lifestyle problems such as battery or neglect or cruelty.
Because most women can have their choice of who they want to date, bed and marry.
