Are americans proud even japanese games are about them?

Even most popular japanese video games or British games are taking place in the America streets and characters are American too such as:

• GTA
• Resident evil
• Metal gear solid
• Silent hill

And too many countless more. If i was American and all things in the world was about my streets and my country and my language, that would be quite interesting like all the world serves us and brings and provides service right to our doorstep.

I can imagine that from an American point of view it has very limited impact because most games take place in the US or are based on American aspects of Life.

However, the very few times Dutch scenes appeared in games... I am Dutch, though I live in England... yes, some sense of... pride... would that be the right word? did come out. I do not feel the same about England, despite feeling more British than Dutch (I have broken with everything and everyone in the Netherlands; I have been living in the UK, so I do feel more British than Dutch)

Think about the level in Medal of Honour that you are in Arnhem during Operation Market Garden in 1944.
