The UK intentionally made no legal ways for asylum seekers to come to their country. they could have built a processing facility in France and then no asylum seeker even would've had to set foot in England before their claim wasn't processed but instead the government escalated the problem on purpose to provoke exactly this reaction. They thought it would win them votes but instead Reform UK got the votes and there's even more right wing groups capitalizing on this now. But I hope the new government will do something we'll see. They should be dealing with the economy and the NHS and things like that but now they have to deal with this problem.
Illegal immigration is actually a tiny amount of people most people come by plane and have a job lined up then you have asylum seekers most of these claims are valid and they will be given asylum there's only a tiny amount of people who have to be sent back or never even apply for any status. Compared to the amount of people who come legally, it's nothing.
These people they don't understand any of this or they just don't like any immigration but they just use the term illegal immigration. The economy of england clearly has a huge need for an immigrant work force since there's a lot of jobs people don't want to do or there's not enough qualified people etc.
But all these people see is omg there's a turkish barbershop on my street now I hate it.
The real failure of England and why the country is going to shit is that during the industrialisation period when industry was booming things were good and then there was never any targeted effort to help these industrial areas transition to something new. They were just left to rot to fend for themselves and now most of these areas their population is declining all the businesses are struggling because there's nothing boosting the economy in these places. If you have a Mine or a factory or something then all the people working there will spend their money around town and that will boost every other area of the economy but when you only have people buying from each other and no real money coming in it's gonna suck.
They were just asleep at the wheel to prepare the country for the future or they just didn't care about anywhere but London. Either one it's pretty bad. But it has nothing to do with immigration.
Politicians who facilitate it should be put in prison for treason, and the illegals should either be deported or sent to Epstein Island to hunt down pedos and rapists for a chance at citizenship. We'll call it "Aliens vs Predators".

As the daughter of TWO immigrants in two very different ways, I am highly in favor of legal immigration, and highly against illegal immigration! First, my mother was an immigrant into England, where she lived and worked legally for about nine years, (I think.) I know I lived there until I was 6. Then my father emigrated to the US after he sold his business to an American company, and was hired to run that as a department within the us company. Both of my parents did it legally, my mother legally into the UK, and my father legally into the US, and my father is now a US citizen! Most of my friends growing up were either the children or grand children of legal immigrants, and I find that the LEGAL immigrant community is even MORE against illegal immigration than most native born US citizens, and UK citizens! At least in the US I am free to say that I disapprove of illegal immigration without fear of getting jailed, unlike what’s now going on in England with #TwoTierKier as Prime Minister!
I believe that countries have borders, and those borders mean something! Coming here illegally is an insult to the incredibly hard work and expense that LEGAL immigrants endured just to live and work both here in the United States, as well as in the United Kingdom! I feel that legal immigrants are an absolute net benefit to the society they enter, and add a lot to the culture of the country they assimilate into.
Illegal immigrants, on the other hand, are NOT the net benefit to the countries they illegally break into, and refuse to assimilate into, despite claims to the contrary. In the US, the average cost to educate a child is $12,000 per/yr and illegal immigrants have, on average, 3+ children. They are most assuredly NOT paying more than $36,000 per/year in taxes! So the schooling of their children alone debunks their net benefit claim, and that is not including free school lunches, food stamps, cell phones, and now luxury hotel rooms. All of these reasons make illegal immigrants a tremendous financial burden on the host countries that take them in. Not to mention the crime that comes with unchecked and unfettered illegal immigration!
The interesting thing about the UK situation is the numbers. Of course, all of this is obfuscated by the crooked media, who create and manage the narrative and plant certain ideas in the populace's mind. It's even hard to find graphs where the data is not obfuscated, for example, where they choose to begin and end the year of comparison. In recent British history the net migration figure was around 30k per year. Until 1997 When Bliar/Labour came into power. Then it sort of fluctuated in the 100k to 200k net. However, something remarkable happened in 2021 when net migration figures ballooned to a whopping 700k per year. Most of this is legal migration, incidentally. This figure has continued for the last 3 years.
Living standards have dipped considerably. Now people in their 30s and 40s can't even afford to buy a home. The absolute economic misery that people now have to endure and they are a slave to housing and hardship. They have to rent. Rents in my neck of the wood, the relatively cheap north, have gone from £500 to 1000 in the space of 5 years. Since 2021, I have noticed an additional circa 50% on the price of housing.
I do find something else very curious. I work in an educational institution. And of course, we had a Pride week. Lots of rainbow flags everywhere, etc. But we also have a huge Islamic population (the town, a big town, is now 30% non-white, just so you're aware of the demographic change taking place). Does no one realise that is it was a majority Muslim population, such things would not be taking place? Seems to be a bit of a curious alliance between the left and the Muslim lot.
As someone of Eastern European descent (grandfather came after the Second World War), I too, would tend to think immigration is a good thing.
But there are too main issues in the UK.
Numbers (they're outrageous).
And issues of integration. Certain cultures, quite simply, just don't seem to integrate.
Certain cultures, just seem to fundamentally clash in terms of values. If you come here, good on you, but respect the fucking culture or just bugger off.
This used to be a great country to live in. Even I remember it. This green and pleasant land. We weren't the wealthiest nation. But we were moderate, sensible. People had faith in our institutions. Policing was by consent. Even our police weren't armed, and it was perfectly fine. We had relative low levels of violent crime. We queued. We had a sense of humour. We created the best comedy in the world. Pound for pound, we created the best music and culture.
Now it's all gone. Now there is nothing good about this country. It's woke as fuck. As the old quote goes, everything is policed in the UK except crime. No one is allowed a sense of humour anymore. You might get arrested. All the comedy has gone to shit, just 'diverse' box checking bullshit.
Fuck this country. I'd go somewhere else, if it felt like I had somewhere in particular to go.
And the sad thing is, no one is listening. And no one seems to care.

@Levin As for the migration issue in England, there’s not much more I can say on it, other than what i’ve already said. I would say the I don’t think the religion or color of the migrants is relevant whatsoever. It doesn't matter where they come from, or what they believe! in my opinion, the issue is their failure to assimilate to British culture, and yes, numbers of migrants being admitted annually that is the issue.
I will say that the violence and rioting that’s going on right now is inexcusable, and those idiots NEED to be arrested, but SO TO to the idiots on the other side who shut down Westminster Streets mid week, and climb on top of bus stops and train stations to fly foreign flags! NOT the granny who simply tweeted something that turned out to be incorrect information! The people rioting, are playing RIGHT into the hands of those they believe to be their enemies! This is my last word on the issue… In the US, the most successful immigrant groups are those who assimilate to the American culture, not those who try to turn parts of US cities in to something resembling the countries they fled!

Like so many things, this is such a complex issue. On the face of it, I believe in orderly, fair legal immigration. But then, when you examine the causes of illegal immigration, it seems much more murky. Illegal immigrants are almost always coming in order to escape some intolerable situation such as starvation or death. So, I guess my question is: How do you tell someone to go back to your country and starve or die, or worse allow your child (ren) to starve or die? Where's the humanity it that?

Immigration is just immigration. The whole "illegal" part mainly boils down to the government failing to process their entry and slapping a bullshit crime on them to cover it up.
Of course this is not an accident. If we take the UK then the Tory party may be incompetent but their bad immigration policy was intentionally bad. After all, most of their political campaigning revolved around "stopping the boats" and such nonsense which means their failure to do their own jobs properly became their biggest political tool for winning elections.
This is remarkably consistent across the world. Politicians creating their own problems to have something easy and effective to then run on and 90% of the time they pick immigration and their target. After all, if you are looking to create an enemy that your supporters can unify under you against, what could possibly be better than a group of people without a political voice and that can't vote?
Illegal immigration is literally the perfect scheme to convince gullible people to vote for manipulating politicians who generally speaking, is behind all the problems in the first place.
They have no impact on a country what-so-ever... and the numbers are so low... that it baffles me that people make an issue out of it.
Only 13,500 illegal immigrants have made it to British shores so far this year; that's nothing.
IF people really want to make an issue out of immigration; then look at legal immigration. 800,000 people migrate to the UK a year... That is a rather large number on a population of 69 million in a country where 22% of the population lives in 'Relative Poverty'.
The government isn't going to reduce that number (at least not in a meaningful way). Why not? All those people add to the workforce which is already 'fighting amongst each other' for the very limited amount of jobs. So why is immigration then not being reduced so the native population can get those jobs? Wages are being suppressed this way: High volume of workers, low volume of jobs, means wages can be kept low... workers will have to compete with each other over the few jobs which are available and that benefits employers.
Besides that... Employers prefer High Skilled Foreign workers over training the native population itself. Why? It's cheaper of course.
But even in low paying sectors British bosses prefer Foreign workers... Farmers will not recruit British people to harvest their fruit and other crops; they specifically want Central and Eastern European Workers. They are more willing to work a lower wages and are easier to exploit than British people.
This became known during the Pandemic when Farmers were struggling to get enough staff to ensure the harvest could be brought in. There were massive recruitment drives amongst the British population, but almost all applicants got rejected and farmers forced the government to allow Central and Eastern European workers in anyway despite the Pandemic.

I don't know why they are coming. my answer is we should buy up their countries and develop them so they can live there. if it's dangerous, arm them so they can fight at home for their countries.

They don't take in illegals. The problem is it takes too long to process their claims and then if their application fails the process of sending them back is problematic.
The only real solution is for all European countries to direct resources to the primary entry points rather than silly stop the boat schemes. Same with America, other states should chip in to help the border ones.

All economic migrants need sent back to their country of origin, for the UK a lot are coming from Albania.
The UN needs to take a more hardline approach, as do countries with economic migrants who transit through them.
For those coming from countries that the UN have covered as being in conflict (civil war, war or other armed conflict), then the first safe country must make arrangements with the UN on their future destination. I also believe that religious safety is important, for example a Christian refugee cannot be sent to a non Christian country, a Muslim must be sent to another Muslim country. Anyone ending up in say the UK must carry out 2-3 years service for the country, this can be covering the UK commitment to the UN peace keeping forces, not the regular UK forces, simply working with UN peace keepers in places such as Africa

There are laws against illegal aliens for a reason. Over the last 3 1/2 years we have seen up close why we have these laws in the first place. Americans will see the difference once President Trump secures the border and starts mass deportation.
In the numbers that are arriving in strategic countries, they're alien invaders, not illegal immigrants. If they'd approached with guns in these numbers the armed forces would have been called to actively discourage their behaviour. Instead, they walk in or arrive by boat and disappear.
they're not taking in illegal immigrants. illegal immigrants by definition find illegal ways into the country. they aren't accepted. they are kicked out as soon as they're found out. like if a country invites people in, it's not "illegal" immigration right?
Adding people in the country (USA) illegally does all sorts of damage. It clogs up space. More infrastructure is being built everywhere to house them. They pay no penalties really, and no taxes. They are welcomed with open arms, especially by politicians, who want votes. If they came in the right way, is have zero problem with it as long as they go through the proper channels and pay their fair share
The world is getting smaller and smaller and immigrating elsewhere isn’t a bad thing. It is the criminals immigrating along with so many regular people just wanting something better. The thing is you never know but one of them may be the person to solve world hunger.

Correct... they will build for immigrants but not americans. We had thousands come to my area and I saw the cheap apartments go up fast. It's fed by international airports and fed $. It changed in character... some ok, but some not.
