Because humans are social creatures and while it’s not an issue to enjoy your own company, it’s an issue to say you hate the company of others over your own. It’s very rude

I don't view people being lone wolf's negatively unless your referring to someone who carries out a crime. In which case I view the crime negatively not the fact the person did it alone.

American culture tends to glamorize being a lone wolf? But to answer your question, it's because lone wolves push people away. They're anti-social.
