Elon Musk Faces Firestorm Over ‘Appalling’ Assassination ‘Joke’ About Biden-Harris

Elon Musk drew fierce backlash on his own X (formerly Twitter) platform for what was slammed as an “appalling and indefensible” response to an apparent second attempt on the life of former president and current GOP nominee Donald Trump.

Trump was, per the FBI, the subject of “what appears to be an attempted assassination” at his golf club in Florida on Sunday, some nine weeks after he was shot during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Musk posted: “And no one is even trying to assassinate Biden/Kamala.”

Musk is a GARGANTUAN DANGER to the United States and the world!! One man should not own half the satellites orbiting the Earth along with more significant launch capabilities than most spacefaring nations put together!! One man should not be able to purchase, as a TOY, a social media feed that many journalists and others used to count on to provide breaking news followed by substantive discussion. His rigging the algorithm is just morally wrong & terrifying (but not censorship as this is a private company not a government organization).

And yet there have been no publicized actual attempts on Biden or Harris, despite all the jabbering about Trump supporters being violent extremists. That is what Musk is pointing out.

And no, mean tweets and "Let's Go Brandon" are not threats.

A man in Virginia was arrested last week for allegedly making death threats against Vice President Kamala Harris, according to federal court documents.

Frank Carillo, 66, is accused of posting more than 4,000 comments to the social media platform GETTR, in which he threatened several public officials, including Harris, President Biden, FBI Director Christopher Wray and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, an FBI special agent said in a complaint filed Friday in the U. S. District Court for the Western District of Virginia.

Harris was mentioned 19 times on the account, according to the complaint, including several times in the days after announcing she was running for president in place of Biden.

August 6th, you say? Interesting, because I've noticed that it is now...*checks watch*... September 18th. This is the first I've heard of it. The commentators I follow would certainly have had something to say about it. Ben Shapiro most certainly would have, I guarantee it.

Plus, political assassinations (or attempts thereof) are nothing new. Abraham Lincoln, William McKinley, JFK, Ronald Reagan, Pope John Paul II, and Shinzo Abe are all world leaders (just the ones who've come to mind for me) who have either been assassinated or have had an attempt made on them. That's the Secret Service's job, at least theoretically, if they ever decide to try it at least.
