I don't find anything wrong with that, I'm just glad that the property owners are making the right business moves. Maybe people should reconsider their attitude because the landlord gives them the opportunity to find a house to rent and live with their families

It's kinda like scalping but it's on a fundamental nessesity compared to luxury goods. There is a shortage of housing and Airbnb is like the global hording that happen during early covid19.

The only other solution would be destroy property values by a good quarter to half. That's people retirement and massive net worth losses across the board. Like the 2008 financial crash.

The landlord is the reason they can't find a place of their own to begin with. If you can buy or rent a property to then make money by renting it out again, then that increases the demand, and therefore the cost of properties. That means that people have to pay more for less. It makes perfect sense for why someone would be upset about that.

In some places in Europe, two major reasons are

Housing affordability
Short-term rentals can make it harder to find long-term rentals, which can drive up housing costs.

Neighborhood integrity
Frequent turnover of short-term renters can disrupt the sense of community and lead to noise and safety concerns.

Myself from a tourist perspective, I like having maid and concierge service. AirBnBs are usually more basic than hotels

Technically the concept is good, but its destroying the housing market. people loose their homes because the homeowner turned the appartment into an airbnb for more profit.

AirBnB because it's short term is unregulated property rental

See Uber and food delivery services are both equally awful and unregulated and I'm proud to say I've never used any of them and never will
