Do you dread airports and flying?

Yes, I do hate it, I won't fly unless I have zero choices and cannot drive it. I'd rather drive across the country in the US in a car and take a week than fly and be there in a few hours.

Things I hate about it, I show up two hours before a flight, TSA line is five million people long (Not my problem) but they are so slow I miss my flight.

No one should have to even show up that early. I'm fine with TSA but we all should be able to show up 20 minutes early and they should have enough employees to handle it.

TSA gropes me every freaking time.

When on a plane, usually some creepy guy next to me (or stuck between two) who pretends to fall asleep so they can touch me.

They make me check my small carry-on bag, say it is too large even though it FITS in the device that shows the size and then charge me for carry-on.

They lose my luggage (more than once) and it shows up weeks later after my trip is done.

They bump you and ruin your trip. They often run late... had to sit in Long Beach once in the Jet Blue terminal that at the time was under going construction and had no AC and it was Hot asf for nearly 10 hours.

I could of driven home in a car in that time with AC. All because they had a plane there but no flight crew and had to find one to fly in to fly the plane.

My worst experience ever, was a flight to HI, I had 4 days planned there before I had to be back to work. They bumped me, to the next day... then the flight the next day was super late and because I got bumped after checking my luggage, they lost it.

The guy next to me was a grabby creep, got there and only had two days left for my vacation and spent half the first day buying new cloths and supplies.

The airline didn't give a fuck, kept saying they could change my return date at no cost for the inconvenience (as if it was just a mere inconvenience) but I had to be back to work, they said that wasn't their problem.

They treated me as if I had unlimited time and could just return whenever I wanted to and that I wouldn't work with them because I couldn't return at a later date.

Oh and it gets worse, I had to pay for the hotel room the first night, but then they considered me a no show and gave the rest of my reservation to someone else so when I did show up, I had no room. Hotel policy, if you don't use it first night you pay but they reserve the right to cancel the rest of your reservation and rent it to someone else.

Almost all the places were "No Vacancy" so found a creepy run down dump in a dangerous place that was roach infested.

I'm likely never going to HI ever again because I can't drive there.

Before 9/11 I actually enjoyed air travel. Then it all went to shit. Security checks had to increase tremendously and TSA lines became impossibly long. Can't really blame TSA because for them to provide all the necessary checks in a faster manner would require hiring millions more personnel and all our tickets would cost thousands more to pay for it. Now I could still enjoy it if I could afford my own plane, but...

I have not been on a plane since before 9/11. The long lines and the cavity searches have really soured me on air travel.

I'd prefer a huge catapult and a massive crash pad in the area of where I'm going. Yes even if it means attempting to launch myself into a different country and probably dying in my attempt. Because it would mean skipping the plane ride and the airport.

Yes a mix of a attractive flight attendant, free booze and night quill can make a flight manageable. But when it's all said and done you still feel like shit and end up aggravated by the experience. So it only helps a bit.

Too many cancellations and spending the night at the airports.
