what happens to the child after it's born? mom didn't want, dad didn't want, they didn't want to adopt them out / not enough people to adopt them.

What now? you want people that wanted to murder their kid to raise them and be responsible adults? That is a big risk with a time frame of around 10-20 years from now.

your plan... adopt out all unwanted babies with a huge waiting list, absorb all the kids in foster care into good parent homes, and then lets talk about forcing ignorant emotionally ill selfish poor child adults to have kids they don't want. may be easier to talk about fixing them... with free reversable procedures.

That is mean speak... but it's really mean to murder a baby. I know it's called a baby because that is what women call them right after they get the test result.

@strateguy632 this web site is filled with abused humans trying to figure life out. they are alive, but as well, how many suffer indirectly... e. g. illegal immigrants that have insufficient parents, commit crimes, murder... is in the news.
the issue is responsibility. this web site is full of people whom are not taking responsibility. Encouraging and supporting them to take responsibility... well... that is a path... you (society) put $ in to train and educate and give options. social support. I'm good with that to a degree.
But forcing them to be responsible? Good luck. have you dealt with women whom are not in their right minds?

Morally abortion is always dubious.

Most countries now allow abortions freely to 12 weeks. There is some leeway up to ~24 weeks. Up to 12 weeks should be adequate and women should control their fertility since it is quite easy to do so.

If there is a significant health risk for the mother than I would accept late term abortion.

How do we feel with genetic abnormalities. Lets suppose a baby is diagnosed with a chromosomal abnormality and will never be capable of independent living?

Late term abortions are achieved by inducing labor and the baby might live for a while. That is too nasty for me.

Well in the first 3 weeks it is just a clump of cells. And ma does not know it is growing to kill it then.

From 4th week fetus is more complex development therefore hard to defend.

From when brain functions 100% voted in a poll it should be a crime and that is 14 weeks. Coincided with french law.
