Ukraine is an isolated matter that has nothing to do with NATO. So no one - European or American - will have to intervene here. And just because Trump can’t be taken seriously doesn’t mean that NATO will fail or be dismantled or Europe pulled into a war. These doomsday scenarios are all silly. Putin is on borrowed time, even with his North Korean meatwave slave soldiers.

Correct, as long as both sides agree to it, there always has been a line. sometimes it is east or west. I'm not saying they return to 2014 where donbas russians have to be in Ukraine... not that there are any left there anyways. But that line could shift. I doubt the line shifts into Russia proper...

Well I'm not going to support giving Trump a Nobel for negotiating a deal that would reward the aggressor for their actions.

valid point, it comes down to power. But whom was the ignorer? If you believe the view of some including RFK Jr above, neither Zelensky nor Putin wanted the war. Zelensky ran on bringing peaceful solution. But the USA denied the Minsk accords. Soon after, the war ensued.

you can fight them til they go home if you want. Does not look like reality to me. the feuding started in 2014 over donbas russian speaking area and change in ukraine shift to the west and other threats.
want peace, have to find a way. if you want war, go ahead. will eventually turn into a drone war given enough time, with a permanently hot border... somewhere.

yes that has some merit, I heard those quibs... Russian butter is expensive... etc.. Oil prices down which cuts their finances. Possible, but I don't see Russia backing up. With Kamala up front we would find out.
It's a valid point in regards to China and others that attempt aggression. To me... better to negotiate an end... China might respect that. I dont' think they want war... rarely are they a physical aggressor if they can rattle a sabre instead. I could be wrong and if they see a window (like Crimea falling)... maybe.
