What are the advantages of voting by mail?

I'd freak myself out something somehow i personally messed up with mail in. At least at the polling place you got a redo to learn from your mistake.

Those are the ripped up ballots at voting location. I'd imagine shredders would be better but that cost money.

Voting by mail should be banned, it opens the door for cheating and coercion while it has no real advantages over the things we do in the netherlands instead where you can hand someone your ID to vote on your behalf.

you can cheat. Where I live you do not have to actively request a mail in ballot. They just send them to just about everyone. I got two and so did my wife. We could mil them all in and nobody would be the wiser.

I can also rob banks, cheat on my taxes, shoplift, and do a variety of other crimes since nothing is really locked up enough to stop me if I want to do any of this. I don't want to because I am not a criminal and I obey the law as luckily the vast majority of people do as well.

You use the "you can cheat" argument as a way to have an excuse to make voting as onerous and inconvenient as possible for people like the poor and minorities who you believe won't vote against their own best interests by voting for your shitty policies and shitty candidates.

Too bad - you don't get to cheat either.

For decades the custom in this country to vote was always to show up in person on election day and cast your ballot. Now all of a sudden it is inconvenient to minorities. Why is it any more inconvenient to a minority than it is to me? Minorities can't figure out how to get to the polls because they are too stupid? That argument does not hold water. It is a way for democrats to expand the use of mail in ballots which everyone knows are much less secure and more conducive to fraud

Minorities. often cannot afford cars or even bus fare, and cannot take time off work since you like the polls to close as early as possible.

Just because they are minorities does not make them poor. There are plenty of poor white people too but nobody gives a shit about them because they will vote for Trump.
