So do Voter ID laws restrict Democrat voters?

[OddBeMe]

Red states didn't allow student id's but gun licenses are cool. Certainly does nothing for the fraud which no one can find.

No! Trump won despite the rampant fraud!

Yes, dems are restricted by voter id laws

Neither, it makes no difference

As I read in a recent column, Democrat bring a rule book to a knife fight. I just wish MAGA would see the ridiculousness of it all. The fact that friends coworkers neighbors and family members would all be in on the deception in 7,603 counties and 125,616 polling places could only be believed by an absolute moron. That many variables and everybody's keeping a secret? I know that MAGA loves conspiracies but this is just completely outside rationality!! I also love the conspiracy theory that illegal migrants are voting in the millions; If you actually believe that millions of migrants are coming here just to fuck up the voting you really need a fox news detox.

[Juxtapose]

Dude I can get a valid ID for voting even when I am at my most broke state. People need IDs for pretty much fucking everything else.

If you are arguing to not include IDs for voting, you are planning to cheat.

[NYCQuestions1976]

@Juxtapose Exactly. People all over the country have no problem finding all of their personal documentation when it comes to applying for and receiving all sorts of financial government loans and benefits, getting a driver's license, buying and/or renting vehicles and residences, opening credit cards and/or bank accounts, and getting numerous other identifications for numerous other services. Yet you bring up Voting Identifications, and the all of the leftists start in with the ridiculous "It'S a BuRdEn AnD a HaRdShIp!" bullshit.

[DrPepper12]

Why not have a national ID? Like Our passport? Renew every 10 years - no fees - free for citizens. I'm fine with ID as long as we can also have independent redistricting commissions, public campaign finance, term limits, election day holiday, time limited campaigns and much more

[NYCQuestions1976]

@DrPepper12 Well, believe it or not, Election Day is supposed to be a federal holiday every four years when It's a presidential election, but it's something that's never been enforced. Voter Identifications and term limits for the House and Senate are definitely needed. The Voter Identification can automatically renew every 12 months when you vote annually in the general election. If we actually get term limits for the House and Senate at both the federal and state levels, then we wouldn't need redistricting commissions for more tax dollars. As for the other financial and campaign limits? Probably a pipe dream. Both Democrats and Republicans love political donations and lengthy campaigns.

Why would it restrict democrat voters? They could just go and get an id. Do you assume they’re too dumb or incompetent to go and get an id? If they can’t figure out how to get an id they shouldn’t vote. Or are you talking about all the non existing voters, dead voters, double voters, fraud voters voting for someone else or the illegal migrant voters? Because yeah it would restrict them but that’s the whole point.

[Kayleigh2005]

We need to a tracking to real ID track libs down if needed

[exitseven]

Voter ID does not prevent any citizen to vote. Any state that requires Voter ID has a state ID card that is not a drivers license and does not cost any money. There has been no instance of voter suppression that has been shown despite what democrats say. It is simply a way to insure that voters are indeed legal citizens.

[DrPepper12]

No proof of voter oppression? Ok.

[exitseven]

@DrPepper12 Can you provide evidence of even one single case? I am sure if there was a case it would have been in the NY Times.

[DrPepper12]

Examples of voter suppression in the USA include:

Voter ID Laws: These laws require voters to present specific forms of identification, which can disproportionately affect minorities and low-income individuals who may not have access to these IDs.

Poll Closures and Relocations: Predominantly minority areas often experience closures or relocations of polling stations, leading to longer travel distances and wait times.

Voter Roll Purges: States have purged voter rolls, sometimes using inaccurate data, which can disenfranchise eligible voters.

Restrictions on Mail-In Voting: New laws have imposed limits on obtaining and casting mail-in ballots, affecting accessibility for many voters.

[RedInnocent69]

Neither. Photo ID should be required, but workarounds should exist for individuals in legitimate circumstances. Honestly, only the US seems to have these problems because elections are so decentralized

[DrPepper12]

Correct. 50 separate elections In +7500 precincts

ID laws don't restrict anyone from voting, it ensures only those eligible to vote actually vote. Being against voter ID is racist af as your basically stating people of color are too dumb and poor to get an ID.

[OddBeMe]

By definition it restricts voting.

[Opinion Owner]

Ok, it doesn't restrict anyone who's eligible to vote from voting.

[Juxtapose]

No, you can get a voter ID pretty damn easily dude. It's not hard, I would know because I have done it even when dead broke.

[noohair]

To get a gun license you have to submit fingerprints. Does a student ID do that?

[dustybiker2]

Some schools do since shootings started.

[OddBeMe]

But do you need a license to get a gun?

[dustybiker2]

Just drive to the nearest town and ask around. Or do what my local shooter did and print one off at home. He then killed two and injured others with the plastic gun.

[Anonymous]

When Trump is in his third term you'll have already only be allowed to vote red.

[KrakenAttackin]

If you go into any neighborhood of color, everyone has ID... everyone.

[seeyounexttuesday]

Harris won states that don’t require ID. ‘Nuff said.

[Friendlybro79]

That isn't enough evidence that you can say that caused trump to not get every fucking electoral vote lol. You're all so delusional. He won and you're still crying foul. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and save up because tariffs are coming

[seeyounexttuesday]

@Friendlybro79 guess what child, he gets all of the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact electoral votes also.

[Friendlybro79]

@seeyounexttuesday This has nothing to do with what I'm talking about. You have an appropriate name. Very fitting. That said Happy Thanksgiving

[seeyounexttuesday]

@Friendlybro79 I get it, you’re upset you voted for an alcoholic communist and got nothing in return.

[Friendlybro79]

Hahahahahahaha.

[Anonymous]

The ones without ID pr citizenship.

[beefcakebradybatson]

What can you expect from goober states?
