Trending & News Funeral for my family are a big deal. Feed people for a week breakfast lunch and dinner. Everyone is working their ass off feeding the village and digging the grave.
No time to be alone and be sad. Grief is still there but it's with everyone working. So it's talking about the good times laughing having fun. chopping up moose meat. Younger kids help and we say how the person who passed taught us this and that.
20 guys around a grave sharing a shovel all bullshiting around. Sharing storys. A new guy by marriage to the family gets told to jump and start digging while his new wife brings in lunch.
"Hey tell your new husband to take a break he's trying to embarrass us." Or even a teenager having had time and their mother bringing food.
Goofy stuff like that. Make life worth living for others after your death. That's a true meaning life.
If you don't mind me asking. what country do you live in? You mentioned moose meat.
Cool.
Same logic as birthdays - they're not for bday boy but for others to say we're glad you're here / sad you're gone
I don't think that the deceased care for their funerals lol
