Is It Fair to Say you are Right in An Argument without the Other person First having Tried ProovingTheir Own Point?

It's fair. Some people are so stupid that you can't convince them. If they can't even understand your explanation, it means you are the stupid one and that they are right while this is not the case at all.
In other cases hear them out.
It's not true, you have to prove it..

I try to constantly remind myself that being convinced that I am right does not mean that I am actually right.
No one is absolutely "right" in an argument, life is about compromise and meeting on common ground.
An argument is never won by a stand off, it's only won when both parties get together, to work for the common good. re-state//background_color_rgba (0, 0, 0, 0), font_color_rgb (77, 77, 77), justifyLeft
I'd say it depends on what the argument is about. If you are arguing 2 2=4 then it is fair to go into the argument saying you are right. If you are arguing politics, neither of you will be right.
You might see it as a way of saying “this is what I’m absolutely certain is true unless you can somehow prove otherwise.”
Or to put simply, “try me”.
Not many people will admit they are wrong and not many will try to understand the other person's position.
You are good to admit and apologize ❤️
What is fair? Nobody gives a damn about being fair.
If you figured out that you were wrong. Then why wouldn’t you give up arguing and say that the other person was correct?
I don't thin it is fasir, but they need to have the opportunity and time to prove their point first.
Not really, unless you have definite proof that you are right
I am always right…. If you don’t believe me just ask me and I will tell you that I am….. lol
It’s a form of gaslighting, but it’s also a smart escape from a discussion that might escalate to an argument when it’s not worth proving your point!
So it’s contextual!
No. That's just silly.
Sometimes especially if I don’t feel like arguing.
Only if they start with an ad hominem.
As Captain of the ship 🚢 I'm always right
fair enough
no...
no problem.
No. Argument by definition is an exchange.
only if the argument is completely factual
