Yes and no. The fundamental problem is our housing cost. This alone could cover a roof over your head the reality is life is more then a roof over your head.
Because it's such a foundation of the human condition and safety we do have regulations on it. At the same time the only way to stay alive is use and abuse those regulations. Thats creating so many problems of our daily life.
Anything below $130+K (I don't know hourly so the math says it's $325 an hour on my contractual hours) wouldn't be acceptable.
Can't raise a family on $23 an hour but the COL in NYC is close to top of planet so maybe it's good for your region
In the country I live in? For sure, it sounds perfect actually.
I would consider that the new living wage, so yeah.

It depends. It's a reasonable starting wage for a technical job, so long ss there's room for advancement. For a low-skilled job, it's okay. Fir a highly skilled job like doctor, it's way too low.
for an adult no that leaves about 38 grand a year after taxes.
A younger kid out on their own yes.
I’ve survived on 15 an hour before. I’d say 23 is pretty good. It’s not rich by any means
everyone’s expenses are different, in case you weren’t aware
where you live can change those number a lot, in NY city you might not be able to rent a dumpster with that income. In where the hell am I Montana it can go a long way, and no I am not trying to insult those from the great Big Sky Country.
Are you a baby daddy to 3 kids or have a cat. Ther are a lot of variables. What are the state income taxes like?
Housing costs, all sorts of things can play into the amount being enough or will you have to skimp to get by.
I survived on $3.00 an hour, so depending on the era you were in, gas was 24.9, my car got 35 mpg, I could not put $3.00 worth of gas in it, a burger at McDonalds was maybe.25, so it is all relative.
extremely good it's ways more than an average French person
no. I live in the most expensive state in the lower 48. Yiu can make $23 an hour at McDonalds.
That’s a load of horseshit. Even managers at McDonalds don’t make that much, let alone the regular employees.
The average McDonalds worker in the US makes 14 an hour
That’s insane
@Kingofkings1992 I never thought that I would be living in a million dollar house but I am.
Depends on, age, experience, type of work, etc.. If you're a brain surgeon making $23 per hour, then no.
No.
Are you @Ozimandeus who used to be in here a few years ago?
That's good where I live
Yes. Starting out, at least.
