And that pesky Congress with the whole separation of powers thing spoils all the fun. Best to keep them out of it. Undeclared wars are much more... ummm... easy. Just instigate the fight and send the sales reps with an order pad.

It's a side effect of human nature. Typically it's linked to global banking and the military industrial complex. Afghanistan is a good example. Go in and fight for decades, use up as much ammunition, and loose as many vehicles as possible while looking like you're making an actual effort. Then you make a fortune replacing all that hardware. It's all a scam, communism is great for this too. Get a bunch of commies fired up for revolution, then the blood and money flows freely. All wars are bankers wars.

I think the real issue is security and control. In other words, selfishness... if we'd all be ok with dying and suffering and trust the others more than ourselves, there'd be no need for war.

Capitalism does result in engagement which can result in conflict... and does, especially with different systems as they fight for control.

Yes throughout history it was carried out predominantly to make money. Countries with few resources tend to be left alone.

I saw the Gorilla Wars which showcases we get this destructive behavior that kills innocent lives from our chain of evolution, at least it is a theory strongly supported by observation, notes, data, and all.
