The idea for this question comes from the idea that if trans women are going to be denounced as women for not meeting certain qualifications of womanhood in social settings, then conservative christians are in the same boat. This is a group of people that actively denounce all forms of support for the disenfranchised such as welfare systems, even though Jesus clearly says “feed the hungry and clothe the cold” in James 2:14-18 in their holy book.

It's hard not to believe honestly. Most MAGA Christians would rebel at Jesus if he were to return and share his teachings. They would mock him for being a socialist. Forget about loving thy neighbor or worshipping false idols. They don't love anyone who doesn't conform to their ways and, well, they definitely worship that rapist, Trump.

If this were truly the end times, they would be following him into hell and blaming others for their fall.

Well maybe they can follow Christian rules, but in the way the Old Testament is ruling the show. Which isn't very Jesus like, more like Absolutism like Charria. That's real Christianity too. Although I would not want to be there resolving the internal conflicts between testaments, from a literal approach.

Another thing is that Protestants are not really unified, I even suspect them to not want to be. Subscribing to whatever church/preacher nearby. I'm not really big about Catholics per se but at least they have representatives, while Protestants look chaotic

Not even that. Most hateful christians pick their favorite rules and ignore those they dont see fit. Thats what I dislike them. Its not like they follow the rules because they feel a need to, but they follow and try to make others follow the rules they pick. Ask a christian if they ever wear wool from different fabrics, Because thats in the same way rule as their anti gay bible laws. They often cherry pick those they want to follow and enforce upon others and ignore the rest. Which makes most of them just hypocrites.

Everyone has something in their life that makes them a hypocrite. I dislike loud people. I ride and love motorcycles. I however push them to and from my home at late hours. A lot of people don't care how their weak link affects others. Ans that is often where the problem lies.

As I believe moderate Christians will look at themselves as real, as much as conservative Christians. It looks like a box from which no one can get out, because it targets core ideas of who we think we are, of how true/real we think our values are in the great scheme of things. Maybe there's salvation outside of the box? Outside of a Christian framework? It's just a maybe.

Nope. If you are going to denounce Conservative christians from being christians, then you should be held to the belief that these christians are too unchristian to be on the recieving end of negativity directed at christians. As the saying goes, you can’t have your cake and eat it too.

But the values of the current conservative party (ie get all the immigrants out, cut medicaid, cut social services, etc.) directly conflict with the statements of Christ, who says to feed the hungry and clothe the cold, speaking on the importance of not just your fellow man to help his brothers and sisters, but also leadership. With this in mind, it’s very obvious to me that the worst part of “christians” are the conservatives using this title for the express purpose of spreading their hatred and jaded idealism.

I kinda agree with you. These are complicated issues! The mere fact that someone would put these two questions together like this, makes me want to run away. Thankfully there are some very smart people who have dealt with this kind of thing, and I would suggest that the person who wrote this should go research it, and find those people!

@Caroline91 it makes me feel weird, and it twists the way I think. As a believer in Christianity my main interests are in my own religion. Personally I don't know any Trans person. That kind is just not in my life. Christianity is a very complicated religion. I belong to a Bible believing form of it. However there are various Bible believing forms of it. And there are forms of Liberal Christianity as well. That doesn't even cover all the different forms it. When you mix the problems in Christianity with the problems of a Trans person, it's enough to make one's head explode. I didn't join GAG to have my head explode.

The only reason why that someone would put these two questions together, is to try and say "conservative Christians are hypocrites." As soon as a person reads the Bible from cover to cover, and tries to follow it. You come to realize that there are things in the Bible that is impossible for a human being to do. So what you end up with is, Christian people who just do the best they can with it.

Another issue in this mix is the political side. I can tell you, that I can't agree with Trump a 100 percent. And I can't agree with the Democrats a 100 percent. Neither party can make a Bible believing Christian happy. They both do wrong things. So when I used to vote, I just voted for the lesser of the two evils.
