The latest example of the corporate media knowingly reporting falsehoods is their collective reaction to the Texas flood tragedy, ridiculously claiming that budget cuts somehow contributed to the casualties. That would be a neat trick, considering that the cuts haven't gone into effect yet.

The cuts commonly accused are personnel cuts back in March. Of course NWS and FEMA both applied for more funding knowing this would be a tough season.

The response? Trump wants to dismantle them.

It is a little unclear if less people working on these agencies caused the disaster's impact to be worse. Or if not listening to your emergency aid agency begging you for resources to be ready for expected disaster worsened things. Cpommon sense dictates it did but there would need to be an investigation to the actual impact.

As for the BBB cuts that are much worse? Or the dismantling of the agencies? Surely this calls into question how wise those are. However cuts number two not having happened does not mean cuts number one had not happened. Or that request for funds were not ignored.

I noticed as people's trust and opinion of the media is on a sharp decline, the same holds true for the democratic party. Is this just a coincidence or are people realizing they've had a corrupt relationship for decades?
