Sexual abuse crimes often go unpunished because the victims are afraid or unwilling to report the abuse. The following is a list of five obstacles that the victims of sexual abuse have to overcome in order to come forward.

1. Trauma: Coming forward about sexual abuse often evokes painful memories that the victim does not want to relive.

2. Guilt: Sadly, it’s common for the victims of sexual abuse to blame themselves for the abuse. They might believe that their situation could have been avoided for various reasons; if they had not flirted, if they had not been under the influence of drugs or alcohol, if they had not been in a place they weren’t supposed to be, etc.

3. Fear of Punishment or Reprisal: Victims might worry that by coming forward about being sexually abused there will be punishment for things they did at the time of the abuse (e. g., breaking curfew, consuming drugs or alcohol, pursuing premarital/extramarital sex, etc.). When sexual abuse happens in the workplace, there is often concern that coming forward can impact their job or career.

4. Fear of Stigma: Sadly, many victims of sexual abuse remain silent because they worry how others will treat them once they know. They worry they will be permanently labeled as “damaged goods,” weak, promiscuous, dishonest, or as a trouble-maker. Cultural and religious reasons can also cause fear of being ostracized from their community.

5. Fear that They Won’t Be Believed: Victims often stay silent because they do not have full faith that anyone will believe them. They might worry they will even be blamed for the abuse, because of what they wore, what they did or said, their state of intoxication, or other reasons, despite the fact they did not or could not give consent. In other situations, the victim might believe that the authority figures (e. g., police, workplace administration, parents, etc.) to whom they would report the abuse are not reliable.

The majority of sexual accusations are false because women learned early in life that all they have to do is make up something like that for them to get out of trouble, to get revenge, to ruin someone's life out of jealousy (if I can't have you, nobody can mentality), and it can be profitable for them. Plus, for a very long time, and still most of the time today, the proven false accusers face very little to no consequences at all for ruining a man's life. Women have been too protected by society for generations and shielded from consequences of their many bad choices in life so they feel like they can get away with any bad behavior they want without consequences. That is the same reason they think they should get to be promiscuous, immoral, terrible people and should still be wanted and accepted by actual good quality men.

Advice to men: Always vote Not Guilty when on a jury of this type unless there is actual evidence. Semen is not evidence unless paired with proof of physical assault and reported immediately. Most accusations that are months or years later are false and done to harm the man or for profit (sometimes for political motives and sabotage), but are usually not valid/true. Think about how many times you caught women in lies in your lifetime. Always consider that before voting to ruin a likely innocent man's life.

I assume there are plenty of BOTH. Which is why all claims should be taken seriously BUT there needs to be some evidence and something that can be investigated and verified.

Just one person's word is not sufficient. Tons of wicked women use the sympathy society feels for women to destroy people.

Yeah for a group of compassionate people we sure put women through hell if they want to see the animals who had their way with them brought to justice.
I have experienced some of this first hand in my life. Back in 2010, I had a girlfriend , she and her bestie, had a computer repair business started back before pj's were everywhere.
Her partner was a beautiful , intelligent woman , married 2 kids , the American dream. She was working late and when done she was walking through parking garage to her car. A truck pulled alongside her grabbed her pulled her into the vehicle and kept her drugged , and then raped her repeatedly, for 3 days , they cut her loose in roughly same area she'd been grabbed and she was crawling to her car when security found her and called an ambulance. The worst is over you may be thinking, well it turned out she'd contracted to different stds, both upper arms fractured her right wrist and left elbow fractured , and more.
Her "man" refused to believe her story , he accused her of having done things to encourage her attacker, or worse a cused her of having "another" affair, she'd never had, let alone been caught in an affair, and he only made comments like that when her friends were there.
I stayed out of it because my girlfriend said she knew it might make things worse, sadly it all became too much for her , husband became , or maybe always was, an alcoholic. Her entire life was ripped apart, even now , many years later thinking about how she was treated for enduring a personal attack I can't begin to imagine how it would feel, just to have the damage completed by the person she should have seen the most comfort and support from, ( and there was much more ) it just baffles me how we can treat anyone ,. male , female, whatever , with such a total lack of understanding, and compassion.

So now men just say they didn't know they didn't discuss their age. The women super analyze it and the women hurt try to see what ifs and how's. The men are the last to be accused unless they have DNA. How could another human being do that? They give them a reason before they accuse them because it easier to accept the woman's lying.

I think most are true, not not all. Claims of abuse by a woman who was dumped are very suspect. When there are multiple accusations of a single perpetrator, they are almost certainly true.
