Do YOU think people using the term 'high/low-value' in regards to human beings is wrong?

I think im very sympathetic to this take by this youtuber i watch. Like putting some kind of value on another human being as if they were an object to be bought and used... yeah its sounds wrong.

Anytime i see those misogynistic incel types on this site or anywhere use it, it gives me a huuuge ick. It just makes me think they've totally bought into the manosphere culture. What do you think?

I'm a hardcore leftist so there is zero connection to monetary value to any other value assessment. Money is a means to an end nothing more. It's a tool nothing more.

In casual conversation, I'd probably directly use those terms how sustainable things are. If the juice was worth the squeeze so to speak.

So it's not the term itself but how fucked up and warped our perspective has become that the very tools we created to make life easier like paper currency have bent fundamental realities of value.

It's mindless paper or gold and we shape our society around it. In a way it reminds me of AI learning and how it has learned everything from the internet and is still a dumb fuck. So Ai scientist want older Ai to create "new" data to learn from faster then people giving out into the internet. Self feeding loop like the economy stock market, the military industrial complex.

There is less and less human involvement year after year. The only human element left is the second amendment.

I don't think there's anything much particularly wrong with using those terms (obviously calling someone "low value" is a mild insult, but sometimes insults are deserved).
But yes, they do instantly mark you out as being a particular type of person - probably a fan of Andrew Tate, Jordan Peterson, internet pick up artists, so-called "stoicism" etc.
I guess they just moved on from the term "alpha male" (which I've never heard used unironically by anyone who wasn't a complete douche) when they realized everyone was laughing at them.

Like usual there are instances where a term like that might carry value. The high/low value much like the alpha/beta before is basically just there to let the group coining the phrase decide what qualities goes into it.

And unless you want the incel/femcel definitions for who is worth dating the value of these terms is questionable at best. Taking dating advice from celibates who can't find partners despite trying seems one of the less attractive options unless your focus is on what does not work.
