Like how should I dress? Like a Fox news anchor woman? What are some rules and act in the bedroom and outside the bedroom? Am I allowed to work outside the home? Should I call every man Sir? Should I always be submissive in the bedroom or can I ever initiate anything?

First off, you need to find a man who wants this and knows how to reciprocate. My wife was raised to be a stereotypical 1950s housewife and she has very specific expectations from a man. Number 1, I'm paying for everything. If we invite another couple out for dinner, I'm picking up the check. No exceptions. Number 2, I make all decisions. Her rule not mine. She's never even picked a restaurant. Number 3, if we go out, we always dress nice. Even if its only for coffee or grocery shopping. Number 4, she does all household chores and I fix everything. She wouldn't even consider me a man if I couldn't fix everything. Number 5, I cannot treat her like my maid. Number 5, she is very conscience about appearance and exercises every day to stay fit. Number 6, she's super supportive and encouraging. However, if my income would ever go down too much I'm sure she'd make me a resume and send it out to potential employers and get me a well paying job. Number 7, she's submissive in and out of the bedroom. She doesn't initiate but she never has a headache. She's always ready for fun. This doesn't mean she's a wallflower. If I ever cheated or treated her like my maid, she'd cut off my dick, fry it in a pan and feed it to our dog.

If you don't find a guy who truly appreciates everything a 1950s housewife does, you'll just me a maid. In a successful traditional relationship, a man will take away stress, not add to it.

Aside from modesty in public, why would how you dress or act in public change? Thanks to two World Wars decimating the male population in successive generations women were working more so careers were more available.

How your household works is your decision with your husband - but bear in mind if you aren't married yet and you're "exploring" the idea when you meet him it's critical to talk to him about it. If he's a guy who's a decent guy looking to be husband, father, provider and protector and that's not what you want then you risk hurting a good Man. If he thinks it's a kink then fuck it.

As far as the bedroom goes, there's plenty of literature and music from the 40s and 50s that'd make "wet ass pussy" look tame on YouTube. Sex was as hot and heavy then as it is now. Hell, you can go to Pompeii and Herculaneum and see pictures on walls from 2000 years ago that'd make the average OF girl blush. 1. A male figure who is exclusively the only one to make money in the family. He may also assist in other tasks, but the financial requirements fall solely on him
2. A female figure who is exclusively the only one to take care of cleaning the home, the clothes, the dishes, and the garden. She is also the primary parent figure for the 2-3 children she births. She is expected to maintain perfection, even when it is impossible.
3. 2-3 children who are to be maintained according to the same standards, ie boys only do boy things like dad and girls only do girl things like mom

Everything else is debatable, but it’s a heavy focus on assigned gender roles. The biggest issue I have with it is, as a result of the heavy focus on these roles, any time anything goes wrong in the family (ie a rebellious child, divorce, miscarriages and/or immediate familial deaths) the woman is made to take the blame. Honestly, it’s no wonder so many housewives did cocaine in the 50’s with all the expectations on them. I’d need that kind of boost too.

I love the idea of it too. I think it's about finding the right like minded guy who is capable of supporting a family financially, which is very difficult these days but not impossible. I have friends and family who have such relationships and they are the best examples of family I know. They are happy, and that's saying a lot these days.

What the 50s were is definitely not all on TV shows. It was a likeness. There were still many people living with both people needing to work and it rural communities everyone worked and males/females boys/girls had roles but those could change depending on the circumstances.

First to cancel all subscriptions to anything Internet related or satellite or cable related. Only subscriptions are to print magazines or print newspapers.

Ditch your cell phone and get a land line. Learn how to dial a rotary phone. Get a Yellow Pages if you can.

Learn how to hook up an aerial or antenna to your broadcast only black & white TV with no remote.

Get maps and learn to read them because there's no cell phones and GPS.

Buy stamps and learn how to address and envelope. And, while you're at it, get an address book for storing all addresses.

Make sure you know where your bank is and what the hours are. You'll be going the a lot to deposit paychecks or make withdrawals; there are no ATMs in the 1950s.

Well a 1950’s household and being a 1950’s woman are different things. For a 1950’s household, you simply want a more traditional one. Where you cook/clean, tend to the kids (if you have any) and he earns the money. Generally dresses are far more common than pants for women at that time. Submissiveness was a big thing too.
