Politics. The cast of The View was apoplectic over the thought of Trump building the big beautiful ballroom. The left loved Obama, and Obama loved deportation and tariffs.
Hillary said that the White House is not Trump‘s house, it’s the”People’s House.” house. 🏡 But when Bill and Hillary left the White House, they stole $28,000 worth of furnishings. Why would they do that to the people’s house? I really think it’s true that if Trump cured cancer, the left would complain.

You missed the mark with some of the details of the Clinton fiasco. The Clintons took nearly $200,000 worth of art, furniture and other “gifts” when leaving the White House. Some of it was characterized as appropriately gifted. They had to return $28,000 worth and BUY $86,000 worth in order to “avoid the appearance of impropriety”. Ell oh ell! Let that sink in. They STOLE over $100k from the US government and citizens. They only returned some and bought the rest because they got caught. And the answer is ‘no, the democrats absolutely did not condemn the Clintons at that time, or since’. They also decry every shady deal with lobbyists that republicans make, but celebrated Obama throwing away $530M on Solyndra only to have them take the money and run. They closed up shop and there was ZERO return on that “investment”. Democrats like to cry about Drumpf’s track record with young women. Yet they loved Biden even after a dozen women came forward with allegations of SA and SH, one of whom was a CHILD when he accosted her. That’s when #MeToo was squashed. Then there’s Ashley’s diary that was confirmed in a court of law to detail inappropriate behavior between Biden and his own daughter. Hunter’s behavior is also very typical for adult victims of childhood s*x abuse. You can go to youtube right now and find compilations of Biden creeping on young girls and women while he was our sitting president. Democrats had nothing to say about any of that OR how he sat on the Epstein case for his entire presidency.
Of course, you are correct on all counts, and it is a really sad reflection of what the United States has become, with this much hatred for conservative views, along with the rise of Socialism and the views of many young people that believe "the world owes them a living' for just being born.
My brother, before his untimely death due to Cancer was a staunch Democrat, but EVEN he was disgusted by what Hillary Clinton and her pervert husband stole from the White House when they left, and of course that was overlooked and swept under the carpet by the Left. Even lying bold faced on camera,
"I did not have sex with that woman, Miss Lowinski, and now I have to go back to work for the American people"

Id the Obamas built it, dems would LOVE it despite the fact that, unlike Trump's plan, it would have been funded by taxpayer dollars.
But dems can't support Trump's BBB because they can't support ANYTHING Trump does, even when it's so clearly a god thing. This is the corner dems have painted themselves into.
Of course not, to the Democrats The Great Deporter Obomba is black Jesus. He could do no wrong. They seem to conveniently forget his administration deported more people than any in the history of this country. They also dropped over 26,000 bombs and missiles in 2016 alone.

I’m talking about the entire Democrat party and what gets them to feel outrage. You said Biden would never agree to a ballroom unless he talked to advisors about it. Maybe there’s just something in his personality that hates ballrooms.
Normal people are outraged by lies. Amusing family anecdotes that aren't factually true don't count. We also get outraged when people have their health care or jobs taken away from them on a whim because billionaires can never have enough wealth.
Normal people don't think about ballrooms, either.
If he did it without consultation, without getting the required permits, or with funding from corporations who are after massive federal contracts, you bet we would.
You brought up Obama's basketball court. That's about the same as what Trump did to the Rose Garden (albeit without stomping on anybody's legacy). People said it was ugly, but they didn't react in the same way as they have to having massive parts of the White House knocked down in secret.
I would, if they did something as obviously wrong as withholding military aid to a country in exchange for lies against their political enemies, or tried to overturn the results of an election by force or otherwise, or knocked down a chunk of the White House without permission, or used the White House to enrich themselves, or took obvious bribes, or sold pardons to fraudsters, or pardoned thousands duly convicted of federal crimes, including violent acts and even seditious conspiracy, or encouraged people to interfere in future federal elections by handing out pardons to people who did in 2020...
I would not vote for them if they took money away from keeping people around the world from disease and starvation, letting hundreds of thousands die, just to hand twice as much money to a government in South America they liked. I would vote against them if they held up SNAP benefits to needy Americans to hold the country hostage and increase health care costs so as to be able to give billionaires more money.
But they wouldn't do anything like that, because they are decent people. Unlike Trump, who has done all of it, and more.
Yes either way it is a waste of money and messing with a historic structure. If Trump was a Democrat and did all the crazy shit he is currently doing would the right or Fox News still support him?
Big companies who want to suck up to him. But as I said, if Trump was a Democrat and did all the stuff he is doing and has been (not counting felonies) would Fox or the right still like him?

Obama built a $25,000 basketball that cost $300 million, paid for by taxpayers, the money that's taken out of your paycheck every week, and no one said a word. The hypocrisy is maddening.
