What happens when there are no longer jobs for people with nowhere to turn?

If they think we're a welfare country now and they take away that welfare, do they think people will just give up and die? no. they will do whatever it takes to survive. i think we're actually getting further away from humanity, but not really. those in power are inhumane, while most of society is very humane.

if we continue on this course though,

i think anarchy is the outcome. i think it will happen very soon if people's very lives are being toyed with. what are your thoughts?

Anarchy is the opposite of what we're heading to.

If government as we have it, is a building, then anarchy is a clean parking lot. Notice: anarchy isn't ruins after a demolition.

Anarchy only works with extremely moral and organized societies. If there is no "government" who "rules", then "bandits" rule.

It's not anarchy if you have to pay to criminal authorities. ㅤ

You just end up with an underclass of extreme poverty.

If there is still a large wealthy segment, a country will continue to rely on that and a kind of class system will emerge where gated communities and extreme violence on the outside will occur. Sort of like in Africa.

If a government has to tax too much to maintain a welfare state, they will cease the welfare. Don’t forget a nation is like a company and in a company, the interest of the company such as profits and marketability comes well before the welfare of employees. With a nation, it’s the same.

If there's anarchy you'll just get Somalia or Afghanistan. Lots of people will die, the rest will devolve into warring factions under various war lords. Same shit , different country. None of this communist shit will happen. Maybe some ooga booga version under one or two of the war lords but that's all it will ever be.

What happens? Poverty creates desperation. Desperation descends into crime. And eventually an overthrow of the government and their puppet masters by force.

yes, that's happened many times and history. do you think america could overthrow the government? i've noticed that when things get really intense, the government usually backs down. they are prepared to go to the edge of your resolve to do it too! but i've also noticed that we're like okay. he stopped. until next time. and that's it. next time happens again and again.

It can happen in any society. It will happen in any society. All you need is a population disenfranchised economically with little left to lose. The people who stole everything have a lot to lose. The people they stole it from want their blood and death becomes an acceptable risk if they see a chance to end their misery.

do you think the civilian population can take on the US military? they are vastly outnumbered but they have all the gear. we'd lose a lot but it's gotta happen, right? i imagine it would be like Brazil in the 80's

Wrong question. The right question is will the kids in the Army and Marines turn on their relatives back home to support an illegitimate Authoritarian government or will they be loyal to the Constitution they swore an oath to uphold?

If the military sides with the people it becomes a military coup. Game over.

The next question is will the military hand power back to a new legitimate civilian government and when. Hopefully after a thorough round up and purge of the people who tried to seize power.

i've been in this situation before as my area is very seasonal so often during the winter there just isn't any jobs at all , like literally no one is looking them. so i've sold things online or just tried to really budget my spending until things improved later on and tried to do things that didn't cost a lot of money like go to the gym

I’m ok being unemployed I don’t even care, I’ve tried working before and since 18 to 28 I could never keep a job. I’m not competent enough to work minimum wage work
