She’s just smart enough to use the word “patriarchy” to trigger her dumbsh*t followers. That statement makes no sense at all.
“Patriarchy” means fatherhood. Since it takes a man and a woman to make babies, it is equally patriarchal and matriarchal. For those in the cheap seats, “matriarchy” just means motherhood.
Like everything else they’ve touched for the last two decades, democrats take a word and use it out of context to create some new obtuse pejorative for something that they don’t like, but can’t intelligently articulate why.

It is patriarchal, but there is nothing wrong with that. Even if you aren't a Christian, which is strictly a patriarchal faith, a patriarchy is necessary. Women have to appeal to men, not the other way around.

If all men decided that from now on, women have no rights, then women have no rights. If women decided that men have no rights, they would have to appeal to men in order to make that happen, because men have control over force. Men and women are not the same, or equal. We are both of equal value as people, but we aren't the same.

So, this is a loaded question. Marriage is not patriarchal in structure. However, the "get married-have kids" idea is more so. Especially since in today's economy a household needs two breadwinners.
