What would you say are the dumbest most annoying accents?

I would say definitely Swedish. All Scandinavian accents are annoying and dumb. But Swedes especially so. Scandinavian women particularly Swedes are pretty ugly as well. British accents are pretty annoying and dumb too and so are southern US accents.

"Swedish" accent? Swedes talk like Americans. But Scandinavian LANGUAGES are very annoying.

For me, it's definitely East/SE Asian. When they speak English, I get more FRUSTRATED than annoyed, because I can't understand them. But them talking in their native language sounds horrific. I literally have to mute the TV sometimes when a Chinese or Japanese person starts talking in their native language. Punjabi also. I tried watching Punjabi film and had to turn it off.

Amharic also sounds atrocious. And Quebecois accent sometimes and many British accents. And Tuscan accent.

I also find it annoying when White people in the Caribbean talk with a Jamaican accent.

But the thing that I can't stand most are regional dialects, especially Spanish speakers who don't pronounce Spanish words properly. Like they'll cut off the last letter or pronounce the ll as a j.

As a Swede I was nodding along until the ugly part.

Our accent is in my mind hilarious and so out of character for our typical personalities. Of course most people below 45 with a strong accent are doing it for fun. But agreed! Awful accent!

Ugly though? My man. There is not a single top 5 list of most attractive population that does not include the scandinavian people. Both men and women are frequently put as top 1 or top 2 worldwide. And while I am happy to slide us down all the way to top 10, we're extremely frequently rated as the world's most dateable people based on looks. Your personal aesthetics aside, wild take.

I movies, when every character grew up in the same place, and each one has a different accent. I can't even find one I'm not annoyed with in that case.

If you want to be employed in the media, or if you want your opinions to be taken seriously, you gotta lose the Southern accent. I've been to plenty of conferences for business and listened to lots of speakers and I've never come across one that said "y'all." That wouldn't fly
