4.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. They've always been kind, professional, and lenient with me.
Like when my tail lights were out when I was headed home during a really bad, flood-like rain storm, my headlights were broken and I didn't know. I saw someone behind me, but I thought nothing of it.
Then blue and red lights lit up, I felt his spotlight on me, signaling for me to pull over, when able.
I pulled over at the first place I saw, by a closed pizza place where he told me my back lights were out, I switched the on and off switch of my lights, he looked back and observed "No, they're still out". I gave my information and he let me go home by putting my hazard lights on when he could've said "You can't drive the car like that, you need a tow truck, so I'd get all of your things out".
I was cool and calm with him, he cut me a huge break. A tow would've meant $500-1,000 extra but no, I did what I was supposed to, he cut me a break cause that's how life is, don't act like a child, don't get treated like one00 Reply

Much less actually do any police work. For those of you that live in Southern California, I want you to know that this is not the Los Angeles Police department as I live in an outlying area that is policed by another agency. The Los Angeles Police department actually is a very good police department and it does great work. The other agency I am speaking about is not well regarded and tends to not do much of anything.

6 moWe only have one sheriff any where near our area and in my teens I got caught underage drinking a couple times but instead of pressing any "legal matters" he would just say, "Don't you think you should be going home, young lady?" That would end my party but I appreciated it so, yes, I trust our one local police officer.

Kind of, especially after the last time where me and my partner had to call triple 0 because our housemate had a meltdown, was shitface drunk, smashing bottles in the house, and wouldn’t listen to anyone.

6 moyes, some. They have handled some difficult situations without bad side effects, better than I could handle them.
they dealt with me one day very respectfully. That, will never be shown on public TV... because it was peacful.
But it takes one bad encounter to make the national news. Frankly, it is the only thing on the news
00 Reply 1.1K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. As a whole. Yes im sure you have individuals that are borderline bad
They have a very hard job and when they tell you to do something. Do it.
Every year the first question starts out like this then someone starts talking about doing away with our local police then they talk about having a different agency
I say no to that I want men and women who have grown up in my city but to answer your question yes00 Reply- 715 opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
6 moNo, not at all. All they're good for is handing out tickets. They don't do anything about crime in my area and there was even a law passed in a city close to me where they banned security cameras because it "violates the rights of criminals". Insanity. Wokeness is a plague on society and because of it, society has cops by the balls.

6 moI have zero faith in my local enforcement. I have called the cops on numerous occasions over the past few years and most of the time they don’t even show up. My advice to everybody’s to be well prepared and equipped to handle a potentially violent situation by yourself. Most people don’t even realize the cops don’t have a Legal duty to Protect you. In many cases of something goes deal you’re gonna be on your own

6 moAbsolutely. I trust them to be unqualified poorly trained morons who should never be allowed to handle a gun. I trust them to take bribes. I trust them to plant evidence and lie in court. I trust them to cover up for each other.

Anonymous(36-45)6 moNo cop can ever be trusted. Ever. Plain and simple. Did you know it's "legal" for police to lie to YOU, but illegal for you to lie to THEM?
If your local police were worth a shit, they'd be kicking ICE out of town the minute they show up.
00 Reply1.3K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Yes, they may be armed but have a huge boulder of risk associated with MISUSING it because this country believes in the sanctity of life and not the paranoid demands of civilians wanting lethal firearm use when they get scared.

6 moi trust that they're gonna give me a ticket lol they're bad about that in my area
the departments near me are so different, so i just treat them the same and hope they'll do their job well00 Reply - 5.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic.
6 moNo. A guy got murdered at our campground 5 years ago and they still haven't found the guy. My dad's truck got looted and our neighbor's car stolen and I don't think they even tried to look. They're only good at handling DUIs and petty misdeameanors.

@Nessa45_ Where? I don't see anything
Yes, I do. People breaking the law (s) tend not to. They need to be allowed to do their jobs without political or haters interfering with them.
00 ReplyYes. As long as you obey the law and dont try to attack them or give unnecessary abuse you good.
