There are protocols for deploying NATO troops under the NATO flag. Those troops were not deployed under the NATO flag and violated protocol. Rather they were deployed under their own banners. Additionally they were deployed as a threat to the largest contributing member of NATO thus violating collective protection under Article 5.

There is no rule in NATO that forbids a NATO member from hosting a exercise on its own territory with other NATO member.

There's really no point in making a trade deal with Trump. Most countries are willing to wait 3 years for the next guy. If the EU continues to sell off US debt like they did today, it's going cause a financial crisis in the US.

Wording? Nah Trump backed down at least for now because reasons. There's some uncertainty in the market still though.
