"Justifiable homicide" is a oxymoron. It dosen't help understanding the situation using both of those words. You can kill someone but it was justifiable defense but using homicide is already prosecuted by the law as unlawful (opposite of justifiable.) Killing with intent.

A better wording would be a border skirmish. Gets a little weird being an island that usa has military cooperation with. can't snipe at a military base where people are accounted for because politics are running hot but it looks like a D DAY on the shore line? Gets complicated and above the pay grade of a defensive guard. So the politics get involved.

At the end of the day it's the jury of peers on a global scale. From there you think how important news media is involved as a way to propaganda. From there the owners of media finance intrest is allied.

If the marine is invading then Denmark soldiers have no alternative but to open fire, that is Danish military law. Arguably the second Trump says, "we are going to invade" they are perfectly legally entitled to shoot any Americans on the island.

There are NO US marines in Greenland. There are about one hundred Space Force members living and working lawfully at Pituffik Space base, which operates under the air force banner.
Denmark has yet to demand that the US abandon the base and leave the country. They almost certainly won’t considering that they would have to violate a 75-year old pact and reverse last year’s 94-11 vote in favor of allowing the US to build military bases on Danish soil.
