You REALLY don't know? It's when someone comes to a country they weren't born in (for instance, this one) and goes through the application process of either getting a visitor's visa or pass, or if they plan to stay for good, they can apply for that, then they have to study to take a test. If they pass the test, they can stay and become a citizen. Or, they can come here and then marry someone from here and (as far as I know) automatically become a citizen.
How NOT to do it: Wait for some fucking bullshit, bonehead democrat to take office and then open the gates wide to let ANYBODY in without ANY documentation or rights to be here, without ANY concern over if they are good people or bad people!!

Here's a way you can look at and understand the situation.
You live in a house/apt.. You DON'T want mice, rats or cockroaches running loose in your place, do you? They take what they want, ruin what you have and possibly poison and kill your family with their filth, dig? So, you want to get traps to catch them or hire exterminators to get rid of them, right? THAT'S what ICE is doing!! They're getting rid of the vermin in our house!!!

anyways Einstein, "legal migration" is when you aquire a visa, migrate to a country and get in line and apply for a green card. is not that hard. if you do all of the above you won't have to worry about ICE detaining your ass.

Legal means you are here with valid visa within the time limits of that visa. same as any other country.

It's certainly miserable to have lives up ended, but if you were overstaying your visa in China, guess what would happen? If you overstayed in France, guess what would happen?

For most countries that would be

1. Apply for immigration under various categories allowed by the 'to be' host nation

2. Wait patiently to be accepted.

3. Enter under supplied visa.

4 Various other forms of visas, such as a tourist, may not exceed the end date otherwise you become an illegal immigrant. You may not work unless you hold a working holiday visas. If you don't hold such a visa and you do work you then you become an illegal immigrant.

There are immigration laws that have been passed by congress. Generally you need a sponsor who is a citizen or Green Card holder and there is an interview process. There has to be some plan for employment because we do not want people to end up on welfare. There are also employment visas as well an annual lottery. Some people can also qualify for asylum.

Before I legally immigrated to America I tried to immigrate to Canada and Australia. Canada turned me down so I didn't immigrate there. Canada and Australia have much stricter immigration policies than the US.
