As Americans, do you think we are too desensitized to violence?

I think back to 9/11 which was such a sad, tragic thing that happened and I honestly feel like we lost ourselves when that happened. Like nothing has fazed us more than that terrible event.

Now when things happen, it's like we don't really give a damn which is just sad.

I keep looking at different violent events that happen in the news now and I honestly go wow not another one and then go back to whatever I was doing. It's honestly rather sad to be this way. To be numb to it.
