Do you still believe the voter ID myth?

"What could possibly be wrong with requiring people to show identification to register to vote and to vote? It turns out, a lot. It’s not about addressing voter fraud, because frankly, that’s just not a serious problem, no matter how many times Trump claims it is. ID requirements are about keeping Americans from voting—older Americans, students, Native Americans, people who can’t afford to pay the cost for one of the limited forms of ID that would count, married women, and, of course, Black and Hispanic voters.

Of course, people who support voter ID say that, even though it's rare and it's actually never happened in American history, it could happen. That's possibly true, but that's like saying, "Well, you live in a house that was built from flammable materials, so if a fire came along, your house could burn down." You drive on the highway to work, and it's unlikely, but you could still have an accident. All kinds of things could happen. The question is, will they happen? The probability of significant voting fraud is just about zero.

The real reason that some people want voter ID is that they don't want some people to vote.

I love all the right-wing people on here scrambling to make up some coherent reason why anyone needs a voter ID and not being able to do it.
