Neither.
I'm told that quiet villages can be brutal with the activities of small town buttinskies.
I say just no to living in a crowded city.

I'd like being in my own rural paradise, away from societal scrutiny.
Not to hide anything.
Simply to be left alone unless I desire to socialize.
For now, I'm in a suburban area in the moderately far outskirts of a large city.
With a bit of luck, I might soon make it to my dream place.

There are cities that aren't that crowded. I live in one. If I get bored, I visit someplace quieter for vacation... But the convenience of city life is a giant plus.

Since I live alone, being in a tiny, remote place isn't appealing. I like the goods and services where I live.

I can like the look of attractive buildings, but nature walks and working in the garden are better for your health... After all homes are buildings. Maybe you're speaking about skyscrapers... large impersonal buildings. Not much to like unless they're architecturally interesting.
